Anyone familiar with Milton, NH?

DH found a campground there that looks really nice, but not sure what is in the area. I know it's only about an hour to Kennebbunkport, so we could go there one day, but what is in the immediate area? Thanks!

You will probably be about an hour to Mount Washington, Conway and North Conway (outlet strip capital of NH) and some beautiful sight seeing. You can go to the Yorks, in MAine, 2 really great beaches. Ogunquit Beach is north of the Yorks and south of Kennebunk. ALso Kittery is south of the Yorks, about 7 miles and another outlet area, BUT there is NO SALES TAX in New Hampshire and ther is in Maine, so if outlets are your thing, go to Conway.

Also, you will be about 45 minute to Lake Winnepasaukie, there is a great beach there (Weirs) and the Moter Vessel Mount Washington goes all around the lake day and evening.

Mi-Te-Jo???
Milton is a nice community. The Milton 3 ponds are beautiful for swimming, boating and fishing. The city of Rochester is about 15 minutes away and has all the necessary stores, Market Basket, Hannaford Bros., K-Mart, Walmart etc. It is about a 45-50 minute ride to North Conway which has tons of shopping and attractions. If you have younger children, Story Land is about and 60 to 75 minutes away. Lots to do in North Conway area.

I have been summering in Milton all my life....45 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. Let me know if you need more info.

Also, Everett's Cove Marina on the lake rents jet skis and pontoon boats on a daily basis.

Thanks...look like this summer we'll be sticking with Maine. Me-Ti-Jo has just ONE site left (worst one of course, far from water) for that time. THey are popular!

No, but stay away for Milton, Florida, especially if the weather is bad. don't ask, it is a verrryyy LONGGGGGGGg and not very pleasant story. . .

I still get a stomach ache when we drive by the exit on our way to Orlando.
