Anyone ever want to decorate their house in Disney??

When I buy my own condo in 3 years (living with parents right now), I plan to decorate Disney style, mostly Tigger, with other Disney characters thrown in. I don't think I'd want to go overboard like that guy who has his whole home decorated in Disney tho, that's just not me!

We decorated our kids bathroom with Mickey's. Lots of them. Disney Marketplace has a home store with lots of bathroom ideas. Shower curtains, towels, rugs etc. It definitely looks like we are Mickey lovers.

Thanks for the tip Polly, I'll have to check it out when I visit for my 40th bday!! Geez, I sure hope I'll be making a lot of money, I just know I'll be spending a lot there! Anyone know how much Tigger stuff there?? I'm a huge Tigger fan, and would love to decorate Tigger style if possible.

But i figure hey... I let him have his ohio state buckeyes room, so I should get to do some rooms (ok, almost the rest of the house) disney right?

Starting the process, my plans are...
Kitchen, classic mickey
DD's room, either tink or just princess room she cant decide
DS room, STITCH
DS room, Buzz
Bathroom 1, Pooh
Bathroom 2, mickey/minnie
Our room, mickey/minnie

That guys house that someone listed a link to is interesting... but too cluttered for me! He had some cool ideas though, like the mickey sink in the bathroom etc...
Dont know if I will get to do all of this.. but I really want the kids' rooms done and my kitchen, then I would be happy... ok, and at least one bathroom!

YES!!! My husband and I have succombed to our own insane Stitch fetish and are doing our room in Stitch memorabillia. We have the original ads for the movie framed on our walls, a lot of Stitch stuffed animals on the bookcases, shelves, and the bed, and the rooms basically blue and yellow. We figured one room with Disney stuff would be enough and since Stitch is our favorite character we decided to do that. Though I LOVE the Mickey kitchen idea, but we already did ours in Ohio Sports things.

I have considered doing a Disney bathroom, but since we don't have a kids' bathroom, dh would NEVER let me do our main one in Disney stuff. Now, if I could talk the KIDS into wanting Disney instead of BUTTERFLIES, lol.

I know ALL about the Ohio State decor...my dad's office is Ohio State and my mom finally gave in and let him do the family room Ohio State too. I'd rather have a Disney decor, but can't say I don't like the Ohio State theme, I'm a big Buckeyes fan! Would love to get my dad a toilet seat that plays the fight song when you lift the lid! LOL!

On a side note, I saw a TV show about that tatoo guy and his house IS in Bethleham PA and it is pretty amazing...they showed every room on the show and every inch is Disney... they even said his wife even divorced him over it!

Theres a rivalry war going on in my husbands family b/c his aunts and uncles are all from Michigan, and his parents and grandparetns from Ohio, so of course everyone has murals of their "favorite" stadiums in their basement too! As soon as we get a house (and get out of apartments) well be doing a mural as well! Were from Cuyahoga County but have family out in Lake. And thats great to hear that your brother is a Marine! Tell him thank you for me for serving our country! I really admire everyone in the armed forces!

Good luck convincing the kids to switch from butterflies! lol Gotta love how set kids minds get somethimes no?

Wow us Ohioans have a common theme going on with decor! Lol I hear you on being torn b/w the decors! I love my sports but love Disney just as much! So we figured well split the rooms half and half between the two! The idea of an Ohio State Office sounds great though! And are you kidding about the toiled seat!? I've never heard of that!!! Our bathroom is sports as well so I'd love to "surprise" my DH with that! ANd then laugh my butt off when he shrieks from the sudden sound! LOL

Thats sad to hear he had a divorce over his house! Shows how all our interests collide wiht loved ones sometimes.

I really want to make my living room/den like a movie theater. I want the frames with the lights around it, showing what is playing. I also want to display my pressed pennies collection (which I will be starting this friday). I just want to be able to sit down after work, and think, hmmm, not too much longer till my next trip! I think one of the neatest things to do would be to build a house with similar plans to mickey's house in toontown at MK.

my bedroom is Mickey theme...border...mickey red curtains,bedspread. framed all the park maps, pictures of our family from various trips, snowglobes, mickey light. turned out really nice.

We have done our entire basement, which is our family/toy room in a Disney theme. We have all of our lithos up as well as figurines, a mickey border, the classic Mickey colors, etc. etc.

We have several of the really large snowglobes up, lamps, etc. etc.

We love it and the kids love it, so it fits us just perfectly!!

This store has closed. They still sell a lot of the stuff throughout DTD and the parks in other stores. I think they are putting in or have already put in Goofy's Candy Kitchen.

LOL Oh the expressions the men would have at that theme song! My husband was scared by the talking trashcans at WDW's McDonalds! He jumped a foot and dropped his tray in! I don't even WANT to know what would happen if the toilet scared him!!!

Come to think of it I may just do this...But all at once. You see Ill have to find a talking toilet seat, cookie jar, decorative sensor, etc. Ill put them all up at once then sit back and be amused!

OSDA sounds mighty good! Now to just create an OSU mural with a team of Mickey Mascots playing a team of Donald Duck mascots! It combines the best of both worlds!

That is so funny that you wanted them to name her Minnie! And that is SUCH a good idea! *ponders getting DH to agree to something like that in the future* I have a few years to work on him still. Thanks for the idea! LOL And thats great news about your brother though! I love seeing the military take care of it's enlisted men and women. College is one of it's best perks. Tell them congrats on the new baby as well!! Sophia is a lovely name being second to Minnie! Or Jasmine...Ariel...Oh my so many ideas...
