Anyone ever want to decorate their house in Disney??

I purchased my first post divorce house this past fall. There is Disney in every room of it in some way. The living room /dining room I did with a very florida beachy feel complete with a lighted palm tree but there are hidden mickey's in there and a curio with my 'pretties" all Disney stuff.I wanted what appeared to be a normal room so not to overwhelm those that don't get it. Main bath is Mickey with a wall border over a black and white check wallpaper. I thought it would be too much but it really looks cool. My room is lavander with wall shelves on opposite walls that have all of my Disney beanies encased in individual plastic cases. DD5's room is pink and OK it is My Little Pony to the max but the sheets are princess there are snowglobes on the bookcase and the canopy over her bed is princess not to mention all the Disney plush around the room. spare bedroom/office work in progress but it will not escape the Disney touch. Kitchen is Mickey but isn't completed yet. Complete with an original 50's black and white chrome table like you'd eat on at the 50's prime time cafe at MGM. Once it get to be warm enough here we'll finish it. about 10 years ago I'd found a Mickey wall border I really liked so I bought it for my house at the time and never used it found it packed away never opened when I moved this fall and there is enough to do my new kitchen. My family room is the Disney room where we have a collection of movie posters on the walls, select lithographs from video releases, tins, and several items from my time as a CM, pictures from park trips, license plates, pins it too is still in progress as there is still a wee bit of wall space. It is a very comfortable space that I just love because absolutly nothing has a bad memory associated with it. It just makes you feel happy. NOw out in the yard obviously it's not been warm enough to work yet but over the winter I made paver stones of my own with a mickey theme and maybe I'll figure out how to do a topiary. I wouldn't have my house any other way and those that know me would expect no less :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :flower:

My kids' bathroom is decorated with Mickey. I actually painted the sink section in red and stamped black Mickey heads on the walls and the toilet/tub area is yellow with black mickey heads stamped on the walls. I got a lot of the extra stuff from the Marketplace and Disneydirect. And I have black picture frames with all kinds of pictures from all of our trips on the walls and always adding to it! ::MickeyMo

Now we arer getting ready to do my 11 yr. old DD's room in Tinkerbell!

My ds(7) has a Winnie the Pooh Blustery Day room. It is actually the 2nd time. He decided at one point that he wanted Spiderman :confused3 , but after about 4 months he started asking everyday for his pooh room back, and guess, what he got it. His original room had different colored leaves stenciled all around the room making it truely look like the blustery day. Now he has blue walls with a few characters cut from the border placed around the room. It is a little different, but still pooh. Ds (9) has a Mickey Room (again). He now has the Mickey Western Bedding set. We made his bed into a loft which looks like a log cabin. He sleeps on top of the cabin. He lower half of the walls are a denim paint techinique and the top halves are light blue with the Mickey ranch emblem stenciled around the room. I made up the stencil based on the bedding. I have a rope chair rail glued between the upper and lower paint colors. I also outlined all of his furniture with rope. It was really cool when I did it, but the ropes are starting to come down now.

My DD (6) room is all Princess with the Pink Princess paint from Disney, my DS (1) room is Pooh right now and when he is bigger it is going to be Peter Pan. Their bathroom is all Pooh too.
Our Playroom is a light blue disney color (can't remember the name??) and has tons of lithographs from different movies- plush animals on the top shelves (all Disney) and lots of Memorabilia of Disney stuff, so half of our house is completely Disney-fied :)
And everywhere else in the house has Disney stuff in it- Snowglobes in the Living room, Disney Prints in our bedroom, Figurines in the living and dinning room......you get the idea :)

We have DISNEY in every room of our house. We also have 1 room that is all DISNEY. Everything in the room is DISNEY, including over 150 coffee mugs of different sizes.

I have a winnie the pooh border in my hallway near the bathroom and 2 bedrooms. We also used Behr paint, Disney colors of course, to do DD's room over. It looks like the castle changing colors pink to lavender. I also have several "hidden Mickey's" around...a soap box from WL on my stove, a little mickey stuffed animal hanging out of a mirror box on my wall, etc. Maybe we will do more someday. I like a bathroom idea! :wizard:

Well, when my dh and I first got married, we had a TIgger Kitchen complete with the tigger door pulls and tons of frames and such. Then my ds came along and most of the decorations went into his Tigger nursery. When we moved to our "old" new house, we used the kids playroom to house my very large tigger collection. Now that we are moving again, we will have a Disney playroom, with all disney characters and my dd will have to TOTAL princess room, and my ds's room with have all superheros which include incredibles, buzz and Power Rangers. My other rooms are already taken up with "themes" so that will have to be it! :earboy2:

My bathroom theme is Animal Kingdom. Here in Dallas we have a World Market store that has some nice animal-themed items. I also have Mickey soaps in the colors of the bathroom (sage, black and cream). :flower:

My towels are towels from WDW (with Mickey icons as the pattern), some plants and a framed picture of the Tree of Life. It's pretty cool, if I do say so myself. :cool1:

Well our bedroom is Americana Mickey, our bathroom is Aloha Mickey, our office is just all Disney of some sort with alot of pics of us too in WDW. Plus our living room has alot of Disney in it because I collect the Disney Armani figuines. Oh, and our kitchen is all the Fab 5 in the light blue. Very subtle but their all there. We're a little crazy but we love it.

I wanted to do our Kitchen in Mickey... There were some really cool dishes in one of the Disney catalogs, and I wanted them so bad!

I also have a lot of Tinkerbell collectibles in my bedroom... Once I'm married (July) and we start having kids, I've already told my FH that when we have a little girl, I will use all of that stuff to decorate her room. And now, they even have Tink crib sets in the catalog. :Pinkbounc

We currently have our kitchen in Mickey (black, white & red), and my dd's room is Princesses. Now, I'm just planning on our future (hopefully!) house and having a Mickey kitchen, Princess bedroom for my dd (she wants Minnie, but I have NOOO clue what to do there! :confused3 ), maybe a Minnie bathroom for dd, and a Tinkerbell room for my scrapbook/craft room! I can't wait to get started! Now, if we can just find some land... :teeth:

I'd love to see some more pictures of your Disney rooms, post them if you have them!!

Yep, I already have a Disney Kitchen full of memorabelia, and each year between Halloween and Christmas we go all out with a Haunted Mansion Holiday of our own. The whole house is done up in Nightmare Before Christmas, complete with a dried-up Christmas tree with animatronic spiders lowering ornaments. It's fantastic, and we get nothing but compliments!

:earsboy:

We used 'Whistling Wind' Paint from the Disney Collection to paint our living room, but mainly only because it looked beautiful and comforting on the walls (and matched our red couches)!
However, I think if something really inspired me, I would just go with it. . . Disney or not!

I think that lots of us have some Disney themed rooms in our houses. I'm going to move this to our community board, now.

I was wondering if anyone ever thought of decorating their house in either disney memorabila or disney themes?? I work at Home Depot in the paint dept. and we have Disney colors (in Behr paint only), and I just love reading the names. Everyone once in awhile (actually, alot more then every once in awhile) I think about decorating my house in either a disney theme or with just disney stuff. Anyone else doing this or thought of this?
:cool1: In my husband's bathroom we did the scattered Mickey Mouse. It is too cool! We have the red walls and we ordered all the bathroom accessories on disney direct. We got it all for $99. :cheer2: My husband added black shelves and we have our disney world picture frames with little disney figurines everywhere. We also brought back the soaps & lotions from Pop and we have those by the sink. Now, we are about to do my bathroom in the tinkerbell with lime green walls!! Can't wait!! That's all we have because we live in an apt. Of course, we have all of our disney ride pics on the walls too. I have seen on tv some houses that we're done thru out disney and they were gorgeous because they had all the collectibles!!!

My DH is NOT a Disney guy, and nixed a Disney kitchen or bathroom. DD5 has a princess room, and DS13 (in a room that was originally DD11s) has some hidden Mickeys on his walls. (We painted the room in a matte blue, and did spirals of the same shade in a glossy blue. 3 of the spirals make a hidden Mickey.) My laundry room has some Disney posters.

BUT - my living room is decorated in Wilderness Lodge. The only overtly Disney part of it is the Mickey and Friends totem pole that is part of my forest scene on my mantel. The rest of the scene is Lincoln Log cabins (from Once Upon a Toy at DD), toy moose and bears, and small artificial pine trees.
