My daughter was accepted into the DCP and is moving in June 9. I will taking the trip with her to help her move in. I currently have ASMo booked for two nights but am reading there are hotels near the Flamingo Crossings condo she will be living at that are nice and cheaper.

We won’t be doing any parks as we have a 9 day trip in two weeks. We do plan on going to Disney Springs the Sunday we arrive and Monday after we move her in. DD will stay with me the Sunday night with her car and then will stay alone Monday night with no car. I would prefer to avoid parking fee but it’s not a big deal since it’s only one night.

My question is which is the best and closest? Which is your favorite if you’ve stayed at one before? I think some offer free breakfast which would be a nice perk especially before moving her in since it could be as early as 8 am.

The Springhill Suites and TownePlace suites were the first 2 built. Have stayed there several times, both had free breakfast, but last time they were showing some wear and tear. They are often the least expensive. Parking was free back then, but may have changed.

There are 2 Hilton properties, Homewood Suites and Home2Suites, I have never stayed (I have Marriott points and status). I have stayed at the Fairfield Inn several times in the past few years but not in the Residence Inn. Fairfield had a decent free breakfast, I think the Residence Inn does also but not sure. I have been not renting a car recently but they have added a parking charge also.

I would definitely go by price and your personal preference.

Nikki?

If you are staying at Flamingo Crossings LMK I was going to stay there and the boards talked me out of it to move to a place with early entry. But I think I may just want to move back and take my chances without ee.

Ruth! Hey!

I stayed at the Fairfield Inn by Marriott at Flamingo Crossings. It was a nice hotel that’s close to the parks with a decent free breakfast. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. It had a microwave and fridge too. The bathroom was pretty big too. We didn’t do the parks since we were there just to move her in so I don’t know if they do EE. They do offer shuttles and the parking fee is $20 a day.

We stayed at Flamingo Crossing in Oct 2023 at Home2. It was our first completely offsite visit in 15 years, and it was considered a “low budget” trip. The place was nice enough with a very large breakfast area.

I really liked the location. You hop right onto Western Way and you’re basically on WDW property in one minute. The area also didn’t feel touristy and cheap, like so much area on the east side of Disney.

We always stay offsite on our travel day so we can start fresh in the bubble the next morning. This summer, we stayed at Hyatt Place on Palm Pkwy for one night. It was meh, but the area was very busy. The nearby entrance to Disney property was very underwhelming as well.

I booked the same place for our fall “low budget” trip, because we had a lot of points. I’m second guessing that and I’m considering other options. I would definitely do Flamingo Crossing again. I appreciate it more after staying at other locations and recommend it if you are not interested in non Disney stuff.

thanks for the input! I have a ton of Marriott points to use so I'm combining a CCV stay on DVC points with Springhill Suites at Flamingo Crossing. Only downside I can see is that we don't have early entry on our DHS day. I'm sure we will survive LOL first world problems

I have visited these sites to check them out and would probably choose the Home2 Site because it is The only location with a pool slide!

When I asked about a shuttle They did not have one complimentary and also suggested I make a reservation in advance for their independent shuttle pick up .
Not sure about it so I would definitely inquire.
They also had an outside bar.

I ended up canceling the Hyatt and booking AS Music with an AP discount. I just don’t want to stay there again and miss out on the early entry and transportation.
