Anyone ever use their points to stay at the Poly?

We have a big anniversary coming up (15 years), and would like to stay at the Poly (using points). I was wondering what type of rooms you could get if you decide to stay Club Level. I noticed that if you pay cash for Club Level, there is lagoon view, and garden view. But when I look at my DVC materials, they just list club level, (59 points per night, value season), and it does not specify the view. Anyone have any info. on this?
Thanks.

I'd like to know too...we're looking at trying to use points for Poly or GF for our 5 year anniversary.

I'd like to find out too. We met a couple a few years back that would use 3 years worth of points to stay at the Poly every third year. Never really thought of it for us, seems like too many points. But it does seems like a great anniversary gift

I can't vouch for the way it's done now, but a few years back we reserved a Lagoon View, Club Level room using points. :thumbsup2

Dh and I used our points at the Poly this past October for our 15th anniversary. We stayed concierge level and were given a 3rd floor lagoon view room with an AMAZING view of Cinderella Castle.

I highly recommend it as a fun splurge for a special occasion. It was a fabulous way to spoil ourselves!! :cloud9:

We've stayed at the Poly once a year using points for the last couple of years in a Concierge Lagoon View Room is the level you get for the 59 points. It is worth it to us. :) The view is wonderful, rooms large, service is great and you have all the convenience of a Monorail resort. You can watch the fireworks at MK, enjoy the evening water parade, and the Lounge. :) I can't wait. We work hard all year and we soooooo look forward to that stay.

We did it in April. Stayed 2 nights, concierge, perfect view of the castle. I booked it to surprise DH for our 25th - would definitely do it again!

We used points at Easter Thurs and Good Friday - it was like 75 points a night. Yipes!!!!! Our room was on the main floor of the building that overlooks the volcano pool - we were dead center!!! Amazing view - could have stayed for weeks...that is until the reality set in as to how much money those points equated to!

It was actually funny... We were first out in some garden view room in the furthest building away...it was a horrible view, the room telephone did not work, we were so far away from everything...My husband was getting slightly irritated with me, because we drove down from Michigan (the first time in 30 plus flights) through a blizzard...blah blah blah.. I am notorious for moving as many times as necessary until I am satisfied with the room..the kids know better than to unload their bags until I give the okay. My husband said..Come on seriously it is only two nights..this room is not that bad...I gave him the don't go there look and put it into a financial perspective for him...this room is costing us the equivakent of $750 per night minimum if the points were converted to dollars at $10 a point! He looked at me and I will not repeat his exact words, but let's just say within 10 minutes we were in the best room with the best view!!! We only stayed at the Poly, because our 12 year old has always wanted to stay there. Our Easter reservation was not ready until Saturday - the park was sold out...I pretty much laid it out to the manager in those exact words. It was beautiful...I would not ever use my DVC points again...I would pay cash...it is cheaper

is it just me or does this seem like a lot of points to use to stay at the poly? economically it would make more sense to sell the points you would use for like 10 or 11 dollars a point and then pay 500 a night for concierge in cash. Youl would actually make money on the deal.:flower3:

unless of course money is no object...and in that case it is less of a hassle to just use your points.

That's probably the only way I would do it. It's a really nice place, but I just can't see using that amount of points. You could make 2 trips out of those points
