Anyone ever "Sneak" Into SAB?

Someone at work told me how she slipped their room key cards to another family (their friends) to enter the pool area in order to spend the day together :scared1: They were not DVC, by the way.

. . . remember, don't shoot the messenger!

well all the times we have been there, they have had CMs at all the entrances of the pool and they check your room card and we got a wristband.

I heard from a reliable source that the CM's don't check anybody after 5 pm. Was wondering if anyone tried to go over at that time?

ok-while it is a great pool it is so not worth having to be worried about being caught. (not to mention just being wrong)

I have a confession......

back in 2003...pre-dis for me....it was our wedding week...the night of our wedding, DS9 stayed with friends at the BC....and DD6 was with SIL at AKL....so the next day we cabbed it to both resorts to pick up the kids!

I did NOT know the pool rules at AKL.....Dh went swimming with his DN and dd6....and then at BC.....DD6 went swimming with friend.

there i said it...finally....feel so relieved!

We would never even do this now....please forgive us:)

The lifeguard at BW actually (spontaneously) recommended we do exactly this. We really had no interest in trying out the pool that trip, as our 4 YO grandson was quite content with the facilities at BW. I expect as our grands get a little older we will try BC and SAB.

Don't you get sucked into a whirlpool if you do that? They give out wristbands to protect you from the pool monster. ;)

I thought it was the chlorine bobo that got you. :rotfl:

I was there MLK weekend and it was pool weather for us Northerners, there were CM's stationed ready to wristband you(always near the towels).

Well I can tell you I dont think it is right that you would use a pool that is not used for pool hopping. It clearly states that and if you want to use the pool there that bad you need to book a room at BCV or YC so you can. I know everytime we have stayed at BCV it has been crazy busy at the pool and thats why it is not for other guests from diffrent resorts.
I would be really peeved if I could not have a decent place by the pool because people coming in from diffrent resorts.

Oh BTW, We have been there after 5 and they were still checking room keys.

While staying at BCV last year, I was sitting on a lounge chair next to a woman who was on the phone with a friend or relative and she was stating how she was staying at BW and just walked in the gate near the exit for the slide ....she was taking up 3 lounges....I really wanted to go and talk to the CM who was at the "main" entrance to the pool and ask why this woman and her three kids didn't have bracelets on....but I let it go as the pool area was not that crowded that day.

No flames here, just wondering if anyone ever did it? :goodvibes

:sad2: Just when you think you're gettin to know someone........

Wouldn't be more fun to sneak over at like 3 am, hop the fence and skinny-dip? All that moving water, the thrill, the heart pounding, the adrenalene rush..... :hippie:

Ok, no hate'in here. I only posed the question because I know someone who is doing this. The fact that another poster here did confirm my information makes me wonder just how many others are doing this. And for the poster who is now "relieved" that this has been revealed, I forgive you!:goodvibes

Thank you...DH has been threatening to come on here and expose me!:rotfl: for the life of me, i dont recall how we got "into" SAB...I just remember DH's friend talking to the lifeguard abt us picking up our son....:goodvibes

Nearly 5 years have gone by since this incident....:rolleyes1

Although I've never done it, because I stay at BCV so much when I'm at DVC, I always wondered about this. The only time I've ever been asked for my room key in at least a dozen uses of SAB was when I went over for a towel (and wouldn't you know, since no one had ever asked, my room key was on my chair and the towel person really hesitated to give me a towel). The first couple times I ever used SAB I went up to the CM and showed my key to get a wrist band, but except for the towel incident, no one's ever approached me to ask. So I could have been sneaking into SAB for all anyone knew (but honestly, I never have).

What a tease. With that lead up, I thought you were confess something really interesting like the 3am fence-hopping skinnydip. Now THAT would be something to confess.

Although I could see it becoming a Clark Griswald moment with all those late night peeping toms on their balconies snapping photos with a telephoto lense.

Never tried it, never would. I couldn't relax wondering when the other shoe was going to drop. It's a very nice pool, but not a big enough deal for me to skirt the rules.

I know that I'd be very upset if I were a BC/YC guest and I couldn't find a chair and learned that there were non-guests sneaking in.

You are nicer than I am. I did turn in someone that did not have a wristband at SAB last year. I may not have noticed, but they were sitting there talking about it. The CM that I talked to about it came over and the family ended up leaving.
