Anyone ever purchase a Flash Pass at Six Flags??

is that the pass you buy to get to the front of the line?

I think so but dont know the name of it..

I have never bought one because there are usually at least 4 of us when we go and we have season passes so we can go when the park isnt so busy as we only live about 15 minutes away.. I am tempted to do it one time just to see how I like it..

but I have seen people who have and I think they would be worth it.. I have seen them walk people thru the exit I believe and they get on the ride next.. they dont wait in line at all.. at least not the times I have seen them being used..

oh forgot to add I think it was $20 per person.. at least that was what I remembered it being.. that price could be wrong.. you could probably email six flags on their site and they could give you current prices

At our local six flags I've never waited in a line longer than 5 minutes. We had season tickets last year and went a lot, usually on summer weekends, and it was always pretty empty.

So, for obvious reasons I never considered Flash Pass.

Wow.. you're a lucky duck!!

I live by the one in Arlington Tx and alot of times it is sooooo crowded.. its nothing to wait over 1 1/2 hours in one line.. When we go we normally dont get to ride very much due to waiting in horribly long lines on every ride..

Are weekdays usually slower than weekends? What about holidays...like Father's Day?

I have worked at six flags for a few years and never found the flash pass to be a deal at my six flags. It is so expensive that you are better off buying a seaon pass for everyone and take your time going thru the park on multiple days. I would spend the money on a season pass. :thumbsup2

For the poster who asked about crowds on Father's Day, here in NJ, our Six Flags (Great Adventure to everyone in NJ) usually gives out a coupon book with each season pass. Inside the coupon book are FREE passes to bring a guest in with a passholder. Father's Day is usually one of the days that is always in that book. I think it was traditionally a low attendance day, but with the free passes, it gets bumped up a bit. I don't know if the other parks give out the coupon books like they do here in NJ.

As we live about 8 miles away from Great Adventure, we go a lot. On Father's Day last year, I got my sister and her kids in the park with our passes and the free coupons and then we left. I did not want to spend my father's day at Great Adventure.

Is there a best day of the week to go?? I really don't want to fight large crowds!

Are you referring to Six flags here in NJ? Usually during the week the crowds are lighter. Before schools let out is usually a good time too. You do have summer camp groups during the week throughout the summer. If you can go later in the day during the week, that is also a good time. Most of the groups are gone by 3-4PM, some even earlier as they travel in from NY and PA.

IMO, the park seems to be busiest right around lunchtime and remains that way until about 3PM. I really haven't gone that late at night, as my kids are only 6 and 4.

I'll be going to the one in Arlington, Tx.

Last summer, we went to Six Flags Over Georgia, and I wish that we'd had the Flash passes. I believe they were $25, and they would have been super useful. Of course, we were there the Saturday before July 4th, and it was PACKED. Lines for the big name rides were at least an hour and a half. We got to ride plenty of things without Flash Pass, and the only reason we didn't get it was because my son wasn't quite tall enough to ride everything. I think it is probably very useful in certain situations, especially if you are going at a very busy time and planning on riding all of the big ticket rides. If you are going during the week, you shouldn't have a problem.

We normally go to the Six Flags New England and have been to the NJ one, too. We got Flash passes at both parks and will NEVER not get them unless it's a totally dead day.

We normally go with 4+ people and the more people who get the pass, the cheaper it is and you get coupons off each people, too. It averages out to be about 12-15/person which is great. I'd rather pay that and get to ride every ride more than once, than have to decide whether I want to stand in line for Superman for 3hrs or stand in line for Batman for 2hrs.

I....Love....FlashPass:woohoo:

How expensive is it and is it worth it??

As the majority is speaking of Six Flags Great Adventure (New Jersey), I thought I'd chime-in.

Prices vary between park locations for admission/season passes/flash passes.

In other words, it could be inexpensive at, say, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom (Louisville) or outrageously overpriced at the N.J. park.

Best to tell us on the boards which SF park in particular you're looking-at...

weekends are definitely busier than during the week but honestly the weekedays during the summer are pretty busy.. there are many teenagers there.. I think Sundays tend to not be AS busy

I bought one on a Saturday in July at the one in New England in 05. It helped a little, but I didn't consider it cost effective.

That's not such a hot deal for those of us who live several hours away - I think the extra hotel costs for staying multiple days would be a lot more than the flash pass!
