Anyone ever Lost Something on a Ride??

I didn't lose anything at WDW but once on the same trip at DL I dropped my sun visor which was cheap but I can only wear one kind without getting a migraine. THey are the type with the rope backing. They don't sell them in Disneyland and in fact I had gotten it AT WDW LOL on our previous trip. I had dropped it when I had stopped to take a photo. I hadn't even moved from the spot where I had dropped it and someone had obviously picked it up. It was only like a 5.00 visor for goodness sake and I don't know about you but I would NEVER take someone else's hat because of the whole head lice thing. Not that "I" have lice but whoever took my visor didn't know that.

Then my daughter put her purse in the back of the seat on BTMRR and as soon as we got off we were leaving and I said where is your purse and we went RIGHT back through the exit. We waited for that same train to come back round and searched EVERY train and GONE. She is a kid and only had a hair brush and some other junk. NO wallet or anything. We reported both the visor AND the purse to lost and found but NOTHING.

To me it is just ridiculous that someone would want a 5.00 visor and a basically empty purse.

And eventhough it didn't happen at DL I set down my prescription sunglasses on a counter at a store and started to walk out and hadn't even LEFT the store and of course I am highly sensitive to sunlight so of course as soon as I stepped outside I realized that I didn't have my glasses so went right back and they were gone. I told the clerk that they were prescription and would do no one ANY good but of course GONE. I was SO angry. I searched the trash cans because I figured somoeon might throw them away when they realized they weren't real raybans but NO.

I just don't get people.

Like the person with the Ipod. I ALWAYS return things. We found a whole purse in our ditch in front of our home. Cell phone wallet everything and we returned it. I am just not like that. I know how "I" feel and I don't understand people.

In fact when we were at the lost and found at DL reporting OUR lost stuff the couple in front of us had their entire stroller stolen WITH their diaper bag that had their video camera AND their kids medicine and some money and they were devestated. 300 stroller video camera. Trip RUINED!

Oh this brings back a bad experience this past June. I haven't rode that Jungle Cruise ride for 8 years but on a whim we decided to. It was early evening/late afternoon so I had my sunglasses on (mind you these are prescription sunglasses and with frame cost me around 300.00). I slipped them onto my head when we got on the ride. Next thing I know I tilted my head a little back and they slipped off (I tried to catch) and plopped right into the water. Ugh - the feeling in the pit of my stomach was awful - I knew they were gone (I didn't think I would get much luck asking them to drain the river cruise area - and these were my favorite sunglasses - had them for 4 years now...:()

I lost my wallet with many hundreds of dollars cash in it on IASW. Within 30 minutes the wallet and ALL the cash was at the Lost and Found counter near the front entrance! :thumbsup2

Sure wish I could have thanked the person who turned it in!

We lost a hat on Space Mountain. We were sent to the pet kennel to look for it. They had boxes of hats each labeled with a date. We looked through a few boxes and never found the hat. Honestly we could have taken any hat we wanted but didn't, karma! They donate all the hats to local charities after a certain amount of time.

My father in law lost a show on Dinosaur. He like to take his shoes off wherever he goes. He had never been on the ride before so didnt know how bumpy it was. When the ride stops he gets out and realizes only one loafer is there. :rotfl2:

So we tell the CM and she gets the manager. In the mean time i am killing myself laughing. The manager actually took us to the nearest store and told me to pick out a pair of crocs oh him!! Then told us he couldnt stop the ride now and look for it but they check the tracks everynight so check with lost in found in the morning. Sure enough next day there was his loafer and he got a free pair of crocs too.

On the last night of our trip, my DS (4 at the time) left his stuffed Timon that he had bought at AK the day before, on Dumbo. We had been on the last Dumbo ride of the day. When the fireworks finished we noticed Timon was missing. We hurried back and as we walked up there was a CM standing there with a smile and holding up Timon. He said "are you looking for this?"
:yay: Thank goodness we found it because we were leaving 1st thing the next morning and probably wouldn't have time to replace it.

i lost my rucksack on buzz lightyears space ranger spin,it had our passports(i.d) in it and our disney passes.
a cast member had to slow down the whole ride and look for it,we got it back in the end!:)

lost a hat early in the morning on Soarin. Left it in the carry area instead of in my hand. Went to Epcot G Services, then the MK G Services the next day. Never did find it. Oh well, its just a hat.

My husband lost his AP at Blizzard Beach...When we went to guest services to get another one, a Good Samaritan had turned it in :) That was a nice surprise :wizard:

We just got back and I lost my sunglasses on Primeval Whirl. I lost my husband's hat in DHS, somewhere around RNRC. My mom lost her presciption glasses on Splash Mountain. And I found a pair of sunglasses on Soarin.

We had to go to the Transportation Authority(or whatever it is called, that the monorail goes to) to find them. They had my mom's glasses and my sunglasses. But no hat. I also turned the sunglasses I found on Soarin.

Oh yeah, and when we were on the Haunted Mansion, they had to stop the ride for several minutes because someone had lost their flip-flop. I only know this because we happened to stop right in front of the shoe. There were 2 CMs walking through in the dark. This was my daughter's least favorite ride. She is scared of scary looking things. So we definetly could have done without that.

Not at Disney but in Kemah Texas @ the Boardwalk Amusements there my son lost his FAVORITE ballcap on the rollercoaster there. He was heartbroken at first but was so thrilled to have conquered the Boardwalk Bullet there that he soon let it go. He will always remember that the Boardwalk Bullet was where he lost his fav hat. We never recovered it as it was down underneath where the ride was built, where the tracks were, etc... basically where nobody but the people doing maintenance on the ride could be. One heck of a rollercoaster according to my son and my dh. Pretty impressive coaster for something in Kemah Texas over the Galveston Bay. KEMAH ROCKS by the way :) :) Great little place!:thumbsup2

Oh and I forgot.................. I lost my stomach and gained anxiety on SOARIN! I HATE that ride, LOL:lmao: :lmao: I have kind of a fear of being up high and I kept feeling like even though I wasn't going to fall out, that I was indeed undoubedtly was going to fall out for sure. Not my cup of tea kind of ride for sure! Passed on those ole teacups too. LOVED Space Mountain though-GO FIGURE:confused3

not at Disney, but lost our Digital camera in the Mens Room at SeaWorld. I had just bought it right before the trip. Took DD (then 2) while DW & other DD were riding Kracken to the restroom. Had it in my hand, and set it down to help her get dressed. In the hurry to usher her out of the Mens Room, i walked off with it in the stall. :( went right back and nothing. put ina claim to lost and found, and checked in with them the rest of the time we were in Florida and nothing. Only saving grace was I had brought my laptop with us, and I downloaded the camera every night (we were halfway through our trip). I was pretty upset with myself and we weren't able to capture our whole trip as I would have liked.

Someone I was traveling with a few years ago left an extensive pin collection on a bench in Epcot. A few days later, is showed up at Lost & Found - intact.

I once lost a non-Disney ECV key on Buzz Lightyear. The CM told me to come back at the end of the night, that they go through all the vehicles for lost items then. Right. As if I could go anywhere. He did find it after a couple of ride cycles (and lest anybody think I was careless, it was hooked on a wristband - the jumpring wasn't closed correctly. Nothing is ever MY fault ;))

I just got back from WDW today and we went to EPCOT this morning and I found someone's park pass. I turned it in at Guest Relations, I hope she gets it back because it was a multi day pass.

On our last trip my DD, 10 at the time, without realizing it, lost her cell phone on test track. We had absolutely no idea it was gone since she hadn't needed to use it. Then we were walking around epcot and her brothers cell phone rings, saying it is his sister calling him. Well it obviously was not her, since she was standing right in front of him. He anwers the phone and after a bit of confusion he realizes it is a CM who has found her phone and started calling numbers in her address book. Luckily her brother was one of the first ones in there. So we went and met her, back at test track and got the phone back! Not bad since we never even knew it was gone.

I lost my voice on RnR from screaming so loudly.

I nearly lost my consciousness on EE from holding my breath. Seriously, I nearly passed out.

I have never lost a material item on a ride.

Oh yeah, and when we were on the Haunted Mansion, they had to stop the ride for several minutes because someone had lost their flip-flop. I only know this because we happened to stop right in front of the shoe. There were 2 CMs walking through in the dark.
I can't imagine why they stopped the ride for a flip flop. It costs money everytime a ride has downtime. I also think it is unfair for the others on the ride to have to wait while a shoe is found and lengthens the wait time for the lines. I can see maybe doing that for a wallet but not a flip flop. Most rides will just continue the ride and have a cast member get some flipflops at a store for the guest to wear the rest of the day until her/his shoe can be retrieved.

I Lost my MIND on Its a small world , when we got stuck for 20 minutes :faint: LOL

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
LOL that is too funny.. I know what you mean.. LUCKILY I have never been stuck TOOO long on the ride. have been DELAYED at the end while they loaded boats causing a boat jam at the ADIOS area...
