Anyone ever Lost Something on a Ride??

One of my friends lost his hat on the Jurassic Park ride @ IoA, during the final drop. You could see it flying off in the pictures.

I lost my sunglasses on Pooh. I swear, to this day, that's the main thing my son remembers from that trip.

25 years ago or so, my brother leaned over the rail on the bridge at the end of IASW and lost his Goofy hat into the water. It was very sad. Lots of crying. And as we walked out, a big storm hit and my personalized mouse ears were ruined by the rain. Very traumatic day for us both.

no, but I have walked many a forgotten wallet down to main street, and bought many pair of lost and found sunglasses from property control!

I have lost my expensive Canon digital SLR twice at AK. First time was on Dinosaur. The lady at the photo area went through all the photos until she found the car I was riding in and noted the number of the car. She called down and they brought up my camera. Nice additional benefit to taking a photo of each guest on the rides! The second time I lost my camera was on Everest. That time I was directed to a window where I was asked to identify my camera. The clincher was my Mickey lens cleaner attachment ;)

I lost my cell phone at port Orleans pool. We looked all over and couldn't find it.
We were about to leave to go home and my sister called my Dh she said disney was trying to call. They looked on my phone and called the last number I called. They were so nice about it.

My son was 7 at the time so I had written my cell phone number with a sharpie inside the hat. (We had a plan that if he got lost, he was supposed to take off his hat and show it to a CM)

We thought the hat was gone forever, but a few weeks after we got back I got a phone call and they asked for my address to send me back my hat. I told them that I didn't write the number for if the hat got lost but if the boy got lost! :rotfl:

It was a hat bought at Disney...I don't know if that is why I got such good customer service or not.

I lost one of my gold hoop earring on rockin rollercoaster. I didn't realize that i lost it till after the ride...they were a birthday present but i figured they were lost forever so i didn't ask anyone

My daughter received a promise ring from her boyfriend on Christmas 07. We left for Disney on Dec 28. She was performing in the Magic Music Days Dance program. It stayed on her finger for a whole week...the day of the performance at the Galaxy Palace Theater, there was so much commotion backstage with costume changes, ect. somehow she lost it. There was no way we could go backstage as the dancers were only allowed back there with supervisors. She cried and cried. We checked with lost and found from that day to 2 weeks after we got home, and no ones found it. It was drama back then, but now we laugh. She found out that he cheated on her while she was in Disney, so she didnt care if anyone found it and kept it. It wasnt her money that was spent on the ring.

My Boise Hawks cap flew off my head during the drop on Splash Mountain. I mentioned it to a CM as we got off. He said there was an apparatus at the bottom of the pond that dragged things into a compactor and there was no way I'd get my hat back. He said to go into the gift shop and mention it to someone. I did, and they gave me a free Splash Mountain hat. Yay!

I left my cell phone on Big Thunder Mountain. I noticed it was missing a little while later and asked a Haunted Mansion CM what was the best way to see if I could find it. He totally broke character and was very friendly and helpful. We went back to Big Thunder Mountain and asked and after a few minutes they found it!

I also left a pair of sunglasses on Soarin' but they never turned up.

The mother told her to put it in her pocket and the girl was excited. The father asked what happened and the mother made a comment like, "she got a new ipod"

I think that's what happened to my sister's digital camera. She left it on Buzz Lightyear when she was a CM and was out with my dad. She realized immediately, and they asked to check the cars coming through. There was a card inside it with her contact information, and she checked with the CMs at the ride, and kept checking lost and found and calling. Never turned up. The only thing I've ever lost was this past trip, when I lost the chapsticks in my pocket. I was very upset, because one was the Little Mermaid chapstick that I had found in the Target bargain bins and was never going to find again. At least it was the end of the trip I suppose. :worried:

I lost my umbrella on the Mummy at Universal. I've also got it hit in the face with someone's hat on the Mummy.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that there is a CM only store behind MK where there are broken or damaged items for sale at a discount price and they also have these tubs of sunglasses and walkie talkies and other stuff for sale which are unclaimed items from the lost and found. Can someone confirm this?

My daughter left her hat on the ET ride at Universal on our last day. We went to Guest Services described the hat, left our address (in the UK) and it arrived neatly packaged two weeks later!:yay:

My husband put his sunglasses and a walkie talkie which we were using to communicate with our family inside his hat and then put his hat in the basket thingy on DINOSAUR. He left it all there and didn't get it back! It wasn't handed in!

I lost my glasses on splash mountain. So busy being worried about the drops effect on my son that i leant too far forward in my seat and they slipped off my nose. Oh and i lost my lunch once :-( after being on Soarin for the first time - does that count?

I almost left one of my shopping bags on Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.
Luckily the ride attendent noticed it before me and I was able to catch it before it went around to pick up more riders.

*Note it was a small bag, that they would give you for a pin or something.

My nephew lost his glasses on TOT. They didn't fall off , he put them next to him and they fell out. We did get them back later that night. I don't think my DS would have been to happy if he had lost them.

I remember a couple of years ago in he Orlando Sentinel "Man Loses Leg on Duelling Dragons" at IoA - it was a prosthetic leg - I suppose not funny to the person who lost it but ..... :rotfl2: nevertheless.

Also at Universal I dropped my wallet in a rest room and realised it 5 minutes later. I dashed back and standing outside was a cm waiting for me with wallet in hand. Boy did he get a tip.

My son lost his cell phone on Rock n Rollercoaster in April. After the ride he discovered it missing, we went back in and found the first CM. She had it. He had to describe the phone to her and she gave it to him.

I left my sunglasses on Expedition Everest. Found the first CM who told me I'd have to wait for that car to circle through the ride a few times and see if someone turned them in. They weren't expensive so I just bought a new pair.

I also lost my cell phone and got it back on RRC, hard to believe thought, sure thought I lost it for good.
