I was wondering for those of you who have lost a Hat or a Keycard or Even a Wallet . Howd you go about getting it back ???

My son lost his cell phone on Rock n Rollercoaster in April. After the ride he discovered it missing, we went back in and found the first CM. She had it. He had to describe the phone to her and she gave it to him.

I left my sunglasses on Expedition Everest. Found the first CM who told me I'd have to wait for that car to circle through the ride a few times and see if someone turned them in. They weren't expensive so I just bought a new pair.

I lost 2 pairs of glasses ( seperate trips) both at epcot. I didnt get them back but I bought a glasses holder thing that u can put around ur neck so i wont lose another pair again lol

We lost our Video camera on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin a long time ago. I don't really remember it, but i know my mom was flipping. Thankfully, Disney got it back for us. So, it all ended well

I lost my cell phone on Expedition Everest last week and realized it as soon as I walked into the photo room. I was directed to the photo pick-up area. The CM there wanted to know if I knew which row we were in, which we did. He said they would start with checking that row for each train as it came through. About 30 minutes later, I had my phone. I was really afraid it had fallen down below the track as I got out so I was really surprised to get it back.

Yes! I got tired of carrying around my heavier larger Kodak digital and so got a tiny lil Sony that fits in my pocket for Disney trips. Stuffed the little bugger in the pocket of my capris and it worked great for a while.

After we left BTMRR I started to take a photo and ...empty pocket. I asked the CM at the fast pass entrance what to do and she sent me back in the exit...the CM there checked the train cars as they came in. I knew we were in the front train car so at least he knew what car to look in, and on the third train there was my camera...still laying on the seat. And that was the last time I put my camera in my pocket wearing that pair of capris! It now has it's own neon green baggallini camera case, with the long strap so I can wear it across the body!

I didn't lose anything but we were at a show and when it was over we were in the aisle walking out. There was a family in front of us and the daughter (maybe 11 or 12) spotted an ipod on one of the empty seats in a back aisle. The mother told her to put it in her pocket and the girl was excited. The father asked what happened and the mother made a comment like, "she got a new ipod" The father then said, "we will hand it in at the front gate" Yeah for dad :yay:

^^  The mom was going to let her keep it????? Oh my goodness! How do you teach your child right from wrong if you don't have a grasp on it yourself??

OY!!!!

Anyway, I haven't lost anything, but I was sooo worried that I was going to on Rock n Roller Coaster. I was in the park by myself, so I rented a locker for my stuff. But I was terrified of losing the key and was really nervous about losing my glasses.

28 years ago when I was I kid I lost my 110 instamatic camera on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Disneyland. The CM went back and found it on the floor of the ride. It's weird that I remember this almost 30 years later . . .

My DD (at the time was about 5 or 6) lost her Minnie Mouse hat on Buzz. Somehow it managed to fall off and out of the car. The CM gave us a voucher to take next door to the gift shop and she got a new hat!:cool1: It was one of those magical moments that Disney is so good at. The observant CM saw how upset my DD was and acted accordingly. It made her day and a memory for me! The customer service is the best we have ever experienced and one of the reasons we come back as often as we can.:)

I lost a watch on Space Mountin. I went to Guest Services and told them. A week later, my watch...broken band and all was mailed to my house. The band must have snapped. I figure the must have found it somewhere in the ride.

Our first ride in the morning was on the Expedition Everest Ride, I left my baseball cap in the pouch in the ride car. I noticed that I had forgotten my hat after I entered the store at Everest. So I went to a "lost and found" area. I think it may have been near the photo pick-up area. I asked if my hat had been turned-in. I figured someone in the next ride would return it, so we waited a few minutes, but no hat. While I was waiting I noticed that the CM had an accent, so I started speaking french with her. It turns out she was from France. After about 15 minutes, no hat turned up. I mentioned that I needed the hat so I wouldn't get a sunburn on my face and my scalp, so she said, go over to the hat rack and pick-out a hat. I got myself a nice "Expedition Everest" souvenir hat. At the end of the day, we went for one last ride on Expedition, and I checked to see if the hat was returned. It was there, and I was able to keep the hat.

My husband lost his wallet last summer in the Magic Kingdom, but didn't realize it until lunch. We had been all over, so we did a fast runthrough of where we had been without luck. Went back to the Contemporary and asked the concierge on the 12th floor if he'd call Lost and Found for us while we called the credit card co. He said no luck, and kept checking the rest of the week w/o luck. On our last afternoon, we decided to stop at Lost and Found in person for one last try. The very nice man said they probably didn't have it if they had checked fior the concierge, but told us to hold on. Came back five minutes later with a mailing envelope, addressed to us, with the wallet in it. Not sure where it had been while the concierge was calling, just glad to get it back!

It wasn't a ride or a park but I left a pair of prescription sunglasses at Flying Fish. I was staying at Pop Century. Was told I'd have to go to the Boardwalk and fill out a form. I did that (walked over from Epcot) and they managed to locate the sunglasses the next day - but probably only because they were in a distinctive case. They actually had someone drive over to Pop Century to deliver them since I was not able to travel to the Boardwalk without a car on my departure day.

My DH has lost 2 hats on Splash mountian. Never found either one. Have lost a couple lens caps, went to lost and found and they just pulled out a huge box of lens caps and said 'pick one that fits' LOL.
I once left my belt bag hanging on a chair at McD's in DTD, I did not relize it till we were in a store and I went to buy something. I was in a total panic!
Thankfully someone turned it in and they had it behind the counter for me.
Can't count how many pair of sunglasses have gone missing..

My DH had one of our 2 way radios slip out of his pocket in the MuppetVision show. When the doors opened after the next show, we were able to find it under the seat.

At Disneyland, my brother left his camera in the pouch of the Indiana Jones Ride. He noticed it fairly quick after riding. He went back in the exit and someone had already given it to a CM.

We bought a label maker a few years ago and always make sure to label our cameras, purses, even cell phones with our name & cell phone number. (Obviously we put each others phone numbers on our phones! ;))

My son lost his favorite Mickey Mouse hat on Kali River Rapids. He put it in the center protection container and we never saw it again.

My 2 year old daughter lost one sneaker. It must have fallen off somewhere between MK and Epcot when we took the monorail. We checked with Guest Services when we left Epcot but nothing. They told us to call the main Lost & Found number the next day. We were leaving the next day so when I got home I called and lo and behold they had her sneaker. I thought for sure no one would ever turn that in. THey mailed it home to us.

17 years ago i made the mistake of bringing someone with us on our trip to Disney. She lost her camera on Maelstrom, it was borrowed for the trip, and didn't realize it until several countries later. She spent over a 1/2 hour searching for it and made quite a few trips back and forth to the customer service or lost and found the rest of the trip. She never got it back and managed to put a damper on the trip for my kids. We just left her to her misery and the kids and I went on rides while she wasted time.

The first trip to Disney with the kids we went with another family...my friend, Beth, lost her brand new video camera on The Dinosaur Ride in Animal Kingdom. It did take a few days but she did get it back through the lost and found at Disney..they were excellent :thumbsup2
