Last night, I dreamed we were in WDW enjoying ourselves and suddenly the crowd parted and we saw Snow White. My DDs came running to me for their autograph books which I then realized to my horror that I'd forgotten to bring to the park! Then I realized not only had I forgotten those, but I'd left my whole "Disney box" at home! It's hidden in DH's closet, and is filled with glow-in-the-dark jewelry, guest of honor badges, Epcot passports, Disney store sale items meant to be "gifts from the princesses" on the girls' birthdays (planning to leave them in the room, like Cinderella and Ariel left them there ;)), disposable cameras for the girls to use, matching Disney t-shirts, etc. We kept running into rare characters who were surprised we didn't have anything for the to autograph. My dd's were so disappointed - we were searching our pockets for scraps of paper for characters to sign. I woke up in a cold sweat thinking I had ruined our vacation! I knew (in my dream) that I could replace the box's contents there, but what an expense! I was so relieved to wake up! I know I have the box on my packing checklist, but I double-checked this morning to make sure.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? Is this the Disney version of the "being naked in public" dream?

btw, I'm not worried about my trip, just very excited! And so thrilled with all the great info and tips I've learned here! I do want it to be "perfect" but I know that it will be, just because we will be there together :earsgirl:

Thanks for listening - I knew DISers would understand. If I told this to my husband, I think he'd take away my guidebooks for a week or something ;)

Laurie! That's too funny ~ wow dreams can be so vivid sometimes... but everything is okay now , just a dream, take a deep breath and make sure you pack those things!!

>>^..^<<

I often dream that I am standing online and get to the entrance of Haunted Mansion (sometimes POC) and when I finally get to the doors they say, "Sorry, this is down for rehab, don't you read the DIS?"

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only DISers with bad dreams like this :)

I always have the dream that it's 5 minutes before we leave for the airport and I'm not even packed!

I actually lived a Disney nightmare last December - we had hard torrential cold rain for 24 hours straight. My Mom who is not in good health was with me and I couldn't take her out in that weather to a park. So we spent the afternoon at the Premium Outlets and went back to the room. We got back to the room and played with a deck of cards we bought for my nieces called Old Witch, similiar to Old Maid. I kept saying this is a nightmare...:(

Very often! My nightmare is usually something along the lines of us reaching Disney and discovering that it is closed, or getting there so late that we only have a couple of hours left in our vacation!

Funny!

It's funny that this topic came up. I had a Disney nightmare a couple of months ago, just when I was really heavy into reading all the guidebooks and furiously scribbling notes in my notebook.
In the dream, my family and I were in Toontown. But it didn't look like Toontown--it was like some wacked out, dirty, carnival like place. My four year old daughter wanted to ride something called Pete's Garage (Pete, Goofy's mean neighbor). It was like dirty broken down bumper cars. As I was looking for a place to park her stroller the ground started to tilt downward at a sharp angle so that I couldn't get my footing, and I couldn't park the stroller.
That 's it. I woke up sweating and in a panic.
Wonder what it means????

Oh my gosh! I can't believe this! I just had a Disney nightmare last night!

We were at the Magic Kingdom on a very hot day and I was pushing the double stroller. We were on our way back to our hotel and both girls were asleep in the stroller. On our way out, we ran into TONS of the Disney characters. The girls woke up and jumped out of the stroller and started running to them and I followed behind as quickly as I could. When I finally caught up to them, I discovered that I couldn't find their autograph books. It was terrible. The girls started crying because they couldn't get Mickey's autograph and I felt horrible...like I had ruined their vacation! :(

I woke up in a panic...partially because I had ruined the vacation...and partially because I don't have any kids! :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: What a nightmare!

I told my boyfriend about the dream today and he tried to reassure me that it was only a dream, but I could tell he was a little panicked too :D

Dreams can be pretty weird like this one ............

I had this dream a couple of weeks ago. It was at night and it was lighting and TOT was running it got struck by lighting ( imagine that) and fell and broke. When I woke up i was so happy that it was just a dream.

I had my Disney nightmare just the other night...it started out as a dream come true. EMH started at 3am and I was one of the few in the park. For some reason, you could get as many fastpasses as you wanted, so I started getting them for the big attractions, so that when DH and DSs met me there they could go right on to their favorites. But when I got to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin I couldn't find the entrance, so DS (4) couldn't ride!!!! It was a nightmare b/c all he has been talking about for the past two months is riding BL as soon as we get to Disney World!!!

I'm so glad I am not the only one who has Disney seeping into their dreams!!!

Oh yes. I have often had the same nightmare that I was in WDW on my last day and never got to the parks! My traveling companions were so slow they just could get their act otgether to get to any park. Ack! Just thinking about it gives me the willies.
Gee, I guess my very first trip really left an impression on me. LOL

I had a Disney nightmare about 3 nights ago!!!

Let me give some background as to why I think I had this dream. I am very organized and since I'm the advid planner in the family and everyone else just shows up, I get worried I forgot something. I think I also had this dream because we invited first timers this trip and last year I forgot my Disney Club card!!!

Anyway, my dream was about arriving at our DVC trailer that sleeps 12!! Yes, it was a trailer, not a resort room! Then while waiting for BIL family to arrive, I realized I forgot my whole WDW folder with all my confirmation numbers in it and my National rental card and my DC card!!! I was so upset in my dream. I couldn't believe I forgot all those important things.

I've had other dreams about Disney and they are always planning related. Checking in and something goes wrong. Somehow never being able to get into the park. I guess I stress too much about all the planning and it comes out in my dreams!

I had one while getting ready for our trip last October. We were going to be staying at AKL. In my dream my brother was there with me, which he wasn't even going with us. Arusha Rock was a huge heavily vegitated area behind AKL, nothing like it really is. We had to take a jeep to get out to Arusha Rock where all the animals were. We saw some sort of big cat, a cheeta/lion or something chasing down a deer like creature and kill it. Then, to my horror, I realized that we hadn't closed the gate behind us and the animals were getting loose into the lodge area!

I've had a couple more too and they were all about AKL. In one, upon checkin, my DGD came running to me to tell me that there was a hippo in our bathtub!LOL

This is too funny. I really thought I was the only one to have WDW nightmares!

Mine is recurring. I often dream that I'm at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot and I get separated from my friends and family. The rest of my dream, all I'm doing is looking, looking, looking for them. When I finally find them, it's time to go back home! I never had the opportunity to enjoy a parade, ride an attraction, see a show, nothing!

OK, I've had the same dream as DebbieB, RickinNYC and Peggo. So how weird is that. Almost always relating to not getting it together with others and the trip being over before ever getting to a park.

But I also suffer from vacation crisis too. This is were something in my life or related to us happens just days before leaving. My son broke his arm once before a trip; my neice died in a fire a week before a trip; my husband was in a car accident before a trip; we were served court papers for a insurance law suit before a trip; my grandson was taken by his father several days before a trip; so I can surely understand why I get these dreams. But unfortunately I had to cancel part of my May trip because my son was in an accident and in ICU just 3 days before my last trip. So usually right before a trip (in just a couple of days) I start holding my breath and wait to see what will happen. With a very old and ill mother, that is always on my mind. But was happy to see that I'm not the only weird one that has vacation nightmares. OK, anyone out there with the fear that you will have car problems on the way to the airport and miss your flight!!??

I have a recurring Disney nightmare several times each winter.

I dream that our summer trip has passed, and we didn't get to do everything that we wanted, or that we forgot to do something or get something.

Actually, that's not to far from the truth!!!

When I was young I used to have a reacurring Disney nightmare of Mr Toad's Wild Ride. When they guy popped out of the manhole cover, I would jump off the car and be stuck in the ride for all eternity. Looking back 20 years later I wish the dream now came true! Gosh I really miss that ride.

This is not a nightmare (it would be if it ever came true), but before I leave for vacation to WDW or any other theme park far away, I'm always afraid that I'm going to get all the way there a realize that I forgot the passes. :(

I did however dream this - the night we returned from Universal recently, I dreamed that I gathered the kids - two of their friends, and my husband and drove all the way to WDW with no reservations, no tickets, and worst of all, no money or credit cards.

I think the reason I dreamt this is because, like I said, we just returned from a vacation and I'm still broke from that one, but I'm still planning a trip for next year to WDW. :p

Just to help your nightmares. If you are an annual or season passholder and you forget your pass no problem, they will reissue you one when you get there. My DD has done this several times.

I had a Disney nightmare this last Saturday. (Please keep in mind my DH lost DD3 in Costco that day, and we watched Snow White)

We're imn MK and everythings great. Then DD just disappears. I'm searching for her everywhere. My DH is asleep on a bench next to Sleepy. They are apparently having a snoring contest. I can't wake DH, and I cant find DD. There are no CM around. Suddenly, The Wicked witch in her hag disguise, appears with DD in her arms. I can't reach her, and I's screaming for help. Then they disappear. That's when I woke up. I was angry with DH all Sunday long because of that dream.:)

:jester: These are funny!

So far I've just had the "Oh, no! We missed our plane and now we have to cancel our vacation" nightmares.
