We've had our trip planned since January (dh, dd4,ds1,mil,fil,and sil),and we've had a little surprise come about in the mean time.
Ill admit I was a little upset at first that I cant go on some rides I was looking forward to, but I want to make the most of my trip an enjoy myself (besides having to pee every 10 mins, having backaches, and moodswings)
Were on the free dining plan so I can stuff my face which is a bonus. Just wondering if anyone else was in a similar situation , or any tips from those who have gone while pregnant :)

I've been to WDW pg a few times..from very early on to about 6 1/2 months along.
The main thing wold be to not push yourself, make sure you drink a ton of water and then a little more and stop and put your feet up every once and a while.
I went on all of the rides in fantasyland, buzz..rides like that , then i also went on Kilamanjaro safari (asked to sit up front).
You will have a great time..also the characters love a pg belly, we got some GREAT pics from when i was pg.
Have fun!!!

Congratulations! Never been pregnant but I'll be 6 months pregnant this time. I'm not a big fan of rides so it's no biggie for me but I'm a little concerned about all of the walking.... Anyway, enjoy the food and congratulations! :thumbsup2

Congratulations!
I just got back from WDW and I am four months pregnant. Everything was fine, but I missed being able to go on the rides. The heat was not too pleasant either. Wear very comfortable shoes. I wore the same shoes I wore for our June trip before I was pregnant, but for what ever reason this trip they just didn't cut it.
Take it easy, drinks lots of water and enjoy.

We're leaving Saturday and I'll be 14 weeks pregnant. I'm a bit nervous b/c I'm still having morning sickness (all day). We're going to MNSSHP and have some character meals planned. DD is 6 and doesn't like many rides, so we'll sit them out together. I do still plan to ride the safari ride in AK and perhaps Kali River Rapids. Other than that, it will be kiddie rides only. We were going to go in January but moved it up b/c we thought I might be too uncomfortable at 29 weeks. I just hope I'm not sick the whole time!!

Congratulations to all the expectant mommies.

I went to WDW when I was about 9 weeks with DD. It was July and I was hot and miserable. I had all day sickness and even threw up at the MK!!! But it being my first pregnancy, I really didn't realize what I needed to do to help with the fatigue and really take care of myself. I vowed to never go during my 1st trimester again!LOL

We have our trip coming up in Nov and I'll be about 17 weeks. Hopefully this all day sickness will be gone by then! I'm not a thrill ride person so missing those rides is no big deal. I plan on taking it slow, drinking lots of water and taking breaks when I need to. DH will have his hands full with our 2 kiddies! I need my nap!LOL I really was looking foward to all the good food there but lately I really have to watch what I eat. I get really bad heartburn and acid reflux! Oh, the joys of pregnancy!! :lmao:
I can't even take tums for some relief because they make me so nauseus!

Maybe you can plan some time at the spa at SSR or GF. I believe they have a special massage for moms to be. Also, there will still be plenty of rides/attractions that you will be able to do. You will not be bored.
Good luck!

We are leaving next week, I will be 19 weeks pregnant. I have read up quite a bit on what to avoid, tips, etc. The major thing my doctor told me was drink lots of water. So I am bringing bottled water in our luggage. This is our 1st trip and planned before I was pg. DD went in June with her dad so she did all the big rides her 1st trip. So we plan on doing all we can and not pushing ourselves too much.
Everyone, have an enjoyable trip.

We just got back and I am almost 11 weeks along. I have to admit I was a little bummed about not being able to ride, but I just kept telling myself it will al be worth it wehn I have a new little one. It was pretty hot , but we took plenty of breaks and never had any major problems.

I will say that we did split food......oh the horror....because I am having a hard time eating more than a few bites of food at a time. There was no way I could possibly finish a whole meal myself.

I hope you have a great time.

I went Jan 2006 when I was 35 weeks pg. We wanted to take dd on a special trip before the baby came along.

We had a great time. Jan is the time to go. The weather is cool and there are not any crowds. We took our time and sat down when I got tired. I got to go on most of the rides too , except ones with height restrictions, but that was OK b/c dd could not go on them anyways.

Disney is fun, you will enjoy yourself regardless. I did just watching dd happy face.

We are leaving on Saturday and I will be 18 weeks PG.... possibly with twins, find out tomorrow. I am very excited about going. Sure it stinks that I cannot ride Everest but my DD is only 2 so my DH and I would have to ride it alone anyway.

I think this trip is going to be great... I am really looking forward to taking things slower than we usually do and see all that there is to see beyond the rides.

The one thing I am worried about is the flight since I already hate to fly, I just hope being pregnant doesn't make flying worse.
Have a great trip.

We're leaving in a few weeks and I'll be 6 months pregnant. My past 2 pregnancies were a piece of cake but this one is driving me nuts! I've been tired and nauseated and to top it off I have a big blood clot near the placenta. Sooooooo, I am supposed to take it easy--nothing strenuous, no heavy lifting. I'm worried about all the walking and standing in line. Luckily, I'll be traveling with my DH and sister who are both OBs. They may very well send me back to the resort to relax. I'm bummed, though, because with the new baby coming, I don't think we'll go back to WDW for another 2 years. Can't wait to buy some cute Disney baby stuff!

Last December we went to Disney, and I was 4 1/2 mo pregnant. Besides being VERY tired I had a great time. I'm not a rides person, so that aspect didn't bother me. FYI...they say don't go on the Safari in AK while pregnant...but I did it, and it was fine!!!!! I wish we would have "planned" more rest time...but I wanted to make the most of out 5 days, and we just pressed on!!!

I agree with a few posts back...go get a massage half way through your visit...I wish I had!!! I didn't find out about it until the second to last day...
Got one when I got back!!! :cool1:

I too am going when I am 9 weeks pregnant and to be honest aside from being upset that I will miss my favorite rides I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to doing Disney at a relaxed pace!!!!! what a great reason to be forced to!!

I want to enjoy taking our time and really enjoying everything about the parks--not just rushing to the next line or next show KWIM?

Just remember to take it easy, drink plenty of water and relax when you need to

I went to Disney practically EVERY WEEK during my 2nd pregnancy...
It was a blast and I had no issues...
I second taking it easy and drinking lots of water... but you certainly don't have to avoid all the fun FOOD at the parks!!! (that was the best part!)...

You know how most doctors tell you to go for a long walk to induce labor... well, we just walked around EPCOT... I remember having a few contractions there just 4 days before giving birth! :D

I just returned from an 8 day trip. I'm 7 months pregnant. It was one of my favorite trips! I couldn't ride the thrill rides but I could go on anything in Fantasy Land and Soarin'! I had fun walking around and taking my time when my family did rides I couldn't go on. And I just took a potty break when I saw a convenient restroom. The one thing I didn't do well was drinking water. That's my only tip - drink plenty of water!

In October 2003, I went to WDW - 8 months pregnant. It was the last week my doctor would let me fly.....

Anyway, went and had an AWESOME time. My oldest DD turned 4 on that trip, so there were rides that she wasn't tall enought to ride anyway. She and I would park it on a bench while DH rode a few without us. Her favorite ride though was Splash Mountain - I didn't ride it, but plan to ride it this time. DD6 still talks about Splash Mountain to this day and that's first on her agenda for our MK day.

Stay off of Goofy's Barnstormer!!!! I know this from experience. There was no warning posted anywhere for pregnant moms (I think there is now), but it is toooo much for an expectant mom.

I did ride the safari ride - it was fine....

I walked ALOT and drank ALOT of water and pretty much stopped and every restroom in the parks  but all in all had a wonderful time in the world.

The CM's kept "harassing" me about NOT giving birth on their bus, in their line or whatever....

Just have fun!

I was 8 weeks pregnant with my son, we think of it as his first trip to Disney! I was 30 weeks pregnant with my daughter and we had a great time. Drink plenty of water and listen to your body, If you feel tired, take a break. Have a great trip!

I went when I was about 4 weeks pregnant. It was also my first time at Disney. I had fun but needed to rest in the afternoon. I missed going on the rides but enjoyed just seeing Disney. We are going this December with my little ones and my sisters, their families and my Dad. I can't wait. :cool1:
