UGH-I haven't planned anything for a Thursday for the last month. I'm tempted to book w/another airline but out of New Orleans, only Delta has non-stop besides SW. SW has the better flight times.

I learned my lesson last September. I was waiting and waiting for SW to open up the dates for my September trip. Eventually I decided to fly Air Tran even though they didn't have the flight times I wanted. Eventually SWA opened up their dates for my travel time and I could have gotten the flight times I wanted at about the same or a little less price.

Now I just take a deep breath and know that SWA will still be flying on the day I want to travel and I will be able to get seats on the flights I want at a reasonable price. I may have to wait for SWA but I know that it'll all work out fine in the end.

Thanks Bill,I needed the pep talk!!!

I am in the exact same boat! We fly out of New Orleans as well and love SW but this waiting game is really getting to me. I keep checking Delta's website thinking they might add some additional non-stop flights with better times:sad2:. The rumors are SW will open up more schedules on Feb. 8 which is next Thursday. I keep telling myself "only one more week of waiting" :rolleyes2 I hope! pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

Getting real old real fast.. I have called everyday last two weeks several times a day, same old thing ,don;t know.....Try later... I think I have talked to the same service rep several times..... Also getting up a 2 am just in case it opens up... WAKE UP SOUTHWEST....I just want to make a reservation soon so I can get some sleep........

Go to the Southwest webpage and click on Our Blog at the bottom. There is whole thread on this subject and you can see that there are MANY people tired of waiting. It's fun reading.

I'm so worried that when they open the end of July that the rates will be high and then I don't know what I'll do. Last year I booked on the day they opened up the end of August and paid way too much and now I have a credit that is expiring at the end of May because I made the mistake of using an old credit towards the purchase of those tickets so even with an extension my credit is still expiring in May. :sad2:
