Anyone else think Lights, Motors, Action! is a waste of time?

We saw it in October. DH and DS LOVED it, had to go back and see it again and tape it, but I was bored silly. They rode the Haunted Mansion a dozen times for me tho, so I figure we're even.

Personally I was glad we had fast passes for this. I didnt think waiting in that long of line for stand by would have been worth it.

I also thought all the things they brought it for the 50th was not as good as the regular rides and shows the WDW has.

Soarin ok glad for fp
Cinderellabration ok

DH and I saw this on our adults only visit in Sept we won't be returning. DH never would admit he didn't care for it just said once was enough I on the other hand slept thru it.

I'm glad disney has such a wide variety of attractions think that is what keeps ppl coming back. Also that theater is huge the more ppl in that show the less is in line for what I want to do at that time ;) that also has it's advantages.

It's not something I feel the need to see each trip.

ITA! It takes up a lot of your park time. Getting in line,(waiting), getting in the stadium(waiting) watch the show(more time) and getting out of the stadium!

Although it isn't too bad, I wouldn't see it again. I'd rather take all that time and see more attractions while people are all watching that show.

My 9 year old daughter wanted to leave this show halfway through, but my boys and husband loved it. :confused3 I guess it was their reward for sitting through the Beauty and the Beast show. :)

We are going to see this in April. I am not that excited, DH and my 11 yr. old son saw it in January and liked it. So I guess I will see it with my 9 yr old dd. But my question is this: How long to allow to see this show during a moderately busy time of the year during the week? From the time I would line up to the time I would be out of the show that is? Just best guess estimates would be great!

I found the show to be very slow paced and boring. Nothing looks real. I don't see the attraction lasting at MGM very Long.

I agree. I wasn't "bored", but I can't see this attraction having a ton of longevity. And like many others have said, it's a PAIN to get in and out of that stadium!!

Also, when I saw it, I was seated behind one of the big posts :( I missed half the show haha. So maybe it WILL hold up for a second viewing ;)

Hope I don't get flamed for this, but DH and I thought Lights, Motors, Action! was a COMPLETE waste of time! I thought the beginning was kind of neat and that the very last stunt was cool but the rest was BORING! It took FOREVER to get in, FOREVER to get started and FOREVER to get out. It was VERY loud and just a big waste of our time. We much rather would have been doing something else. Am I the only one who thinks this attraction is a waste of time?

P.S. We liked Soarin' a lot and EE was CLOSED when we were there :(

COMPLETELY AGREE.

We were there in July, had seats at the TOP (very last row) it was HORRIBLE. It was SO BORING and SO HOT DS was crying and they wouldn't let us out of the stadium. It was terrible, I didn't think it was ever going to end. MIL and I thought we were not even going to be able to make it to the top where we had to sit. :crazy2:

Just our group's opinion, but we did not care for it. We found it boring. Too much talk, and I guess we expected more stunts, less "round and round" chases and such.

I like the show and will see it again.

Like most said, it just took too long to get in and out of the show. You sat and waited and waited for the show to start, though the trivia questions on the giant screen beforehand were good. My DH especially enjoyed the show - he is really into cars (and was GOOD at that trivia!) but I was getting a little tired of it all.

We did not plan our time good in MGM and having just missed the early show of this had to come back for the late show. We were tired by that time -- plus couldn't make some other shows/rides that would have run into the timing for this one!

All in all, great to see once but I would not take the time to see again.

I personally like the show. We went last summer and my only complaint was not with the show but the heat and the way we were cattle herded in.

We enjoyed it. DH and DS loved it, and I thought it was pretty good. We got a bonus. We were among the first in the stanby line, and we were right up against a space in the fencing, so DS and a couple of other little kids, and dads, got to see practically the entire show as a practice run.

We'll be back to see it again.

My mom and I went and we couldn't wait until it was over. Kids and men probably enjoy it the most. But we were counting the seconds until we could leave.

My 4 year old liked it. He likes cars. Hubby and I thought it was rather boring and nothing spectacular at all. IF I didn't see it again for a very long time I wouldn't be bothered.

Our entire group enjoyed it...not our favorite or anything, but we'll see it on our next visit to MGM if we have time.

Now...the worst part is waiting in that line WITHOUT shade...nearly deadly in the middle of summer. Can't they add anything to just get the sun off you while you wait?

I thought it was just okay. I'll see it at least one more time when we go back in December with the family, but I would not want to see it if it was just my wife and I. The crowds and the time spent getting in made it a waste of time. :duck:

DH and I really like it. However, we will avoid it in the summer months. Waiting in line in the hot sun is just too much, and the seating area is pretty hot as well.

Great the first time (in DisneyLand Paris), moderate after that!

If you think the one in MGM is long, sit through the French one at DLP as they have to present some of it in French also (obviously!).

Last time, (Christmas 2005) it ran for nearly an hour and in minus 2 temps was not much fun!

Off to WDW tomorrow for a bit of warmth.
