Anyone else on the party planning committee at work?

I swear, I'm on it at my job and it's straight from "The Office."

There are way to many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak. Our brainstorming sessions get us nowhere, because everyone has ideas, but no matter what the idea is someone has a problem with it. The worst part is some people are SO CHEAP! $4 per person for food was deemed too much. FOUR DOLLARS. And my suggestion of veggie trays, as a healthy option, were declared "too fancy."

Anyone have any horror OR positive stories to share??

I feel for you we have the same type of issue at my work and it is just like The Office and the funny thing is I work for an Office Supply company. We had a debate one day as to whether or not we were going to get a cake or a fruit platter for the monthly birthday celebration.....a few weeks later this same debate was an episode of the Office.
