Anyone else new to iPod/iPhone?

You can also get a program that will convert your recorded tv shows so that you can put them on there. I had the Tivo desktop for quite some time but after they "upgraded" it I could never get it to work right again. Just google something like, "converting tv shows for ipod" I'm sure you'll find something.

I recently changed the font in the Notes app. The standard font was too difficult to read. The process is odd and somewhat involved. Google 'ipod notes change font' for instructions. I just wanted to let everyone know that it could be done.

I should have my own App out early next year, for Ipod, Iphone, Ipad and Android devices...I can't give any details yet, but it will be a MUST DOWNLOAD once I'm done (and FREE too!)

for the life me me .. i cannot create the folders .. I can get the apps to wiggle but when i try to move one on top of the other , it just makes room for the one i am moving !! can anyone help ! I would love some folders on my touch !!! thanks.

I thought that was new to the I4??? maybe not?

I do have a ? for the i Techs.

I cannot seem to get a certain ringtone on my iPhone. I have one in my "recorder" that I recorded myself, and I have one that I bought as a song that I'd like to have as my ringtone (same song). I can't seem to get either on there.

Any advice? I did manage to get the song I bought as far as my desktop.

BTW, what do you all have as your ringtones? I currently have Sci Fi (which freaks people out a bit when it plays, lol) and I'm trying to get Enterprising Young Men 0:28-58.

You've got to put them in your ring tones folder-if they're in the right format you should be able to double click on them and they automatically go into your itunes. If they don't go to where your itunes is stored, on your computer open the itunes folder and drop them in the ring tones folder. Then when your phone is plugged in go to the ring tones tab in itunes and check mark those tones and sync.

BTW-you can make your own ring tones with songs you already own. Meaning it won't let you use ones you've bought from itunes but it will let you use ones that you have ripped to do it. It's super easy. Have to wait for DH or DD to get home to give you full directions as I always have to ask them for a refresher every time I make one, lol!

ETA:Oh wait so you need to MAKE them ring tones? I think I misunderstood, thought you couldn't get bought ring tones on there. You'll have to use the one you recorded, I don't think it'll let let you use the one you bought. Here's a tutorial. Seems complicated but it's not.

A tip I learned this weekend when my iPod was running slowly, songs sounding like an old cassette tape that was broken... And also I lost my internet capability...

I went into Settings and Reset Networks and that solved both problems.

I think this is the coolest thing! We move a lot, and I never carry those reward cards around, so I always have to try and remember what phone number I used to get the account, or just skip the savings (or get a new card).
The places I usually shop don't have rewards cards so it's not a big deal, but now I can just put them in my phone and use it if I happen to be shopping somewhere that has them.
I love the fact that you just scan the screen of the phone!
