Anyone else having problems with booking SWA using your points?

For almost a week now, everytime I go into SWA to book my flights, it keeps on upping the points. For example, if the flight is $72, then the points are 4320. When I click on them it comes up with a message saying that the points are now 8100. It doesn't matter which flight, nor which date (even months later). No matter what the points are that are under 8100, it says it is now 8100 points.

BTW, it doesn't do this if I click the dollar option.

It wasn't doing this at the beginning of last week, but it's been doing this for about 6 days now.
 
I did notice this last week but since I decided not to use points I didn't look into it any further. I suspect it is a glitch in the SW site. Give them a call.
 
yes. me too! I called SW on it yesterday since it is every flight that I checked from multiple cities and multiple dates. They said you could call in and they would see it on their end, honor it, and book it at the original point value.

My points should transfer to our RR acct. in the next few days and I really want to get these seats booked!
 

My MIL called SW this morning because she was using points to book a flight. They were able to book the flight for her applying the correct number of points. It did take 30 minutes but it is done.
 
I called SWA yesterday and happen to get a manager when they did the call back. When I mentioned the problem, he made it sound like the price was sold out in the point level I wanted. I said it has been that way for three days and the dollar amount goes thru just fine...it's only when I switch to points I have a problem. Once he got on the site and was able to duplicate my same problem, he finally admitted others had called with similar issues. He said it's an IT problem and he doesn't know when it will be fixed. In the meantime, if you call and buy with points, you can't change easily online which is why I told him I wanted to wait to buy online. Sometimes it takes more than an hour during busy times to get an agent and I'd rather be able to revise my reservations online. I'm very disappointed that they are having trouble. I like SWA and hope they get it fixed before the next reservation window opens which is not that far off.
 
This happened to me, too..... 2 months ago! It only happened when I tried to book with points, no issues with paying cash. I called SW and had to book over the phone, which took over an hour. The agent didn't give an explanation as to why this happened but said they would honor the price. Sorry to hear this is still happening!
 
I sent in an email thru the SWA webpage link to let them know once again that they have a problem. I'm hoping the more we communicate with them and let them know we're unhappy, hopefully fixing things will be pushed into a top priority. I like SWA and this is disappointing.
