I was diagnosed through surgery with stage four endometriosis this past September. Because of how extensive it was my Dr. started me on Lupron injections. The injection hasn't been too bad but the side effects are agony. Hot flashes, cold sweats, mood swings, headaches. Anyone else out there experiencing this and how did you alleviate symptons. I take hormones but the symptons are still there.

SO sorry no one answered you. I just found this thread. I was on Lupron and found the effects intolerable! Now, luckily, as long as I'm on The Pill, the pain stays away.
We now fear my 19 yr old niece may have it. My mom also had it.

I too have endo. It is horrible. I have had 2 courses of Lupron and the second was horrible! They were about 3 years apart. I also had stage 4 myself and had a cyst that twisted and killed my ovary. My surgery was 3 years ago and once again my endo is alive and kicking!

I don't know what to do. Lupron saved me with alot of pain and discomfort with my endo for the 6 months I was on it.....but it made me a little crazy. Anyone else experience any symptoms that made them very moody?

Does the pill help? Does it make your symptoms better?

I also have endo. I have had two laparoscopies in the past and may be having another in the very near future. I have not done Lupron because we have been trying to get pregnant for two years. I found out I had endo when we were dealing with infertility in 1999. I had a laparoscopy in Jan 2000, pregnant in March 2000 and after my son was born in Dec. 2000 I went back on the pill and stayed on it non stop until 2005. Most pain symptoms were gone during that time. Once I went off the pill I was having another surgery in Nov. 2005 and they found it was much worse and alot of it couldnt be removed because it was on areas that could cause further damage. So I have been trying to get pregnant and couldnt use BCP or Lupron but the pain is so much worse than ever before so I am contemplating another surgery. They have already recommended a hysterectomy but I am not ready to give up on another pregnancy just yet. So the point of all of this rambling, is yes the BCP worked for me but I cannot help you with answers regarding Lupron.
