Anyone else hate Jungle Cruise?

I don't hate it, but I don't like it, either. It's cheesy and cringeworthy. It is usually skipped during our trip.

Put in the context of the time it was built, its a amazing attraction. The Skippers and corner jokes and the animal high jinks are part of the Disney Magic and pixie dust.

It was amazing 40+ years ago. It isn't today.

My DS3 watched Disney Sing Along Songs for months prior to his first trip last year and one of the episodes had the jungle cruise. It was all he talked about. When we finally went he was chosen to help the skipper and it sealed the ride as one of his favorites. As long he loves it, we'll love it too!

I didn't like it FOR YEARS, and then last trip I went on it with DS and LOVED IT. I have no idea what changed, but maybe having kids " softened me up" a little or made me loopy or something, but now it's on my MUST DO list.

The point was that it is a Disney classic, the same attraction built 46 years ago in WDW and 60 years ago in DL. Frankly, when all put together, the river, theming, boats, animals, skippers, etc.....etc.. even today its amazing attraction.

I still enjoy it, I will say that I enjoy it more when there is a good skipper. I have had one or two CM that really were not that great.

I used to love it, but it's lost its charm for me. People are correct that the narrator makes the difference. Even great puns lose their value when they become familiar and predictable.

I wouldn't go out of my way to see it unless I had time to kill, nor would I turn down a chance to get on if the line was empty and I had no higher priorities.

One of our family's faves...we loved the corny jokes and puns and have to keep from reciting the spiel...we mention the jokes all the time

there is one lady that I deliberately ask for the next boat if she is my skipper.....this is my FAVORITE ride in MK, and I rode it so many times during college, the cast knew me and my friends.....one of them even let me BE the skipper one time! SO COOL

Gotta say that I LOVE it with all my heart and soul, especially with a good skipper (Alex is a stand-out to me)! I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea though I think without the narration and jokes it would be rather boring.

Are there any major differences in the sights between MK' s Jungle Cruise and DL' s ?

Hate's a strong word for Disney. I'd have to say I love it for kids and the camping of it.

It's not a must-ride on every visit, but we still enjoy it, and as PPs have said, I love the nostalgia of the ride.
When we do ride, we try to do it at night. It's a totally different experience!

I get quite a few folks love it but it's just not working for me. If it was just a boat ride observing the animals and just relaxing, I could take it. But the awful humor and the corny jokes just grate me. Maybe I'm alone in that feeling?

I think it really depends on the CM that is "captain". I've hated it and had it be the best ride of the vacation. We generally skip it unless it's the holiday and setup as jingle cruise.

I love Jungle Cruise but I realize that not everyone is going to love it. Agree with other poster that a good skipper can make it more fun. I love the part where you go into the Ruins/cave.
