We are so fortunate that my parents
have arranged a trip to WDW for myself
, my DH (first time)
, DS 23 months (first time)
, DS 10 months(first time)
from Aug. 1-6. My sister
and her family: DH (first time)
, DD 6yrs (first time)
and DS 4 yrs (first time)
are also being treated to this wonderful and generous gift of Magic. We are all so excited!
We are staying at The Contemporary and have character meals at Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace and Ohana. We have a dinner res at Ohana as well. Tickets to La Nouba and a day at Universal Islands of Adventure for me DH will add to the fun.
Anyone else going around the same time? Just curious

who has developmental delays. Like your parents, I am spreading the Disney Magic to those who will appreciate it.
However, my DS (20 months) and my younger DS (10 months) are a bit young to really appreciate it. That being said, I DO know that they will enjoy all the sights and sounds and hopefully get to ride a few things (my older one, anyway). My DH has never been either and at this point I think he doesn't really understand what WDW is all about.
His only exposure to Disney has been the movies and all the available merchandise out there. I'm hoping that he'll also be roped in by the magic while we are there and that he doesn't feel "too cool for school". He HAS agreed to wear a couple of t-shirts I made from the DISign thread so I think he's on his way!

I agree with you...character meals seem like the best way for our kids as well. They are under 2 so the waits in the park could become a bit too much for them to handle, plus we will have more time to spend exploring rather than waiting.

I suppose that means we will have to visit again someday Our kids are 20 months and 10 months old...I'm a little nervous but also very excited and hope to take everything in stride while we are there!!
