Our trip is May 14-20. DH, mom, and aunt will be going. My dad passed away in December so this trip is really needed for all of us. As the trip gets closer, I'm getting more and more nervous! I hope the flight is ok. I hope no one gets sick. We're leaving our spoiled Bichon frise home with a good friend and I hope she is ok. etc. etc. etc. Help!

I was so excited to go and now I'm just worried. Can anyone ease my mind?
:sad2:

I always get nervous before I go. I was even nervous about putting up my counter.

I think most people get anxious, but relax and have a great time!!

Part of our worry is about the dog. She's not used to being without us, but we can't not go on vacation.

Yes, I think it's natural to get a little nervous about those things. We went to Orlando for 10 days last November, and I was worried about the cats and dog as well. In fact, we even had to board our 16 yo cat for the first time- she did great and didn't seem to miss us at all. (it hurt my feelings a little) :teeth:

I always get nervous...

First I worry that we really can't afford this trip. Then that passes, and I'm okay for a while. Then I worry "Will the house be okay while we're away". Then that passes and I'm okay for awhile. Then, about two weeks before we leave,I start to worry about the weather...we usually go in the winter and the airport is appx 3 hours from our house, so I start checking the Long Range Forecast on the Weather Network website, and my apprehension rises and falls with the changing icons :) .

Once we get on that plane, though...it all goes away and I can relax!

Yes because the one thing I don't like about planning that far ahead is the weather and our health at the time.

Our trips to DL in 2002 and WDW in 2003 were taken down a notch by rare patches of really bad weather.

Thank you! You are making me feel better already. I teach kindergarten and seem to get sick a LOT because of it. I started taking a multivitamin and Vitamin C; I hope it works!
