Anyone else get "all choked up" at WDW?

That's not strange at all!! The electrical parade music ALWAYS makes me cry!! In fact, it is going to be the music I walk "down the aisle" to at my wedding (played by the guitar and flute, and a little more classical music sounding, but I will still know what it is!).. People may think i'm incredibly strange or dorky for this, but I don't care.. the music just makes me so happy, and it suits me perfectly!

This thread made me tear up lol! You are all my kind of people! :grouphug:

I get choked up when I see the castle... WISHES always has me and my fiance BAWLING, then we look around at all the people around us and see every single person has a huge smile on their faces, it is so amazing!!

There are so many random moments that make me cry... and seeing all the random acts of kindness throughout the "world"!!

ok i agree with everyone else, just reading these have made me tear up too! DD just told me not to cry. I have to go to the MK first just to see the castle. Wishes, Illuminations, and Fantasmic. Watching my kids year after year! And what is up with the Lion King and Tarzan, makes me tear up too. Especially when they sing "You'll be in My Heart",when my DH and I got married, DS and I danced to that song for a mother/son dance. This will be a very emotional trip for me since it will be the first trip without DS (he's off to college), but i have soooo many great memories of past trips. Still can't wait to go!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

Without fail, I get choked up as I enter the park and see the castle at the end of Main Street

I also cry whenever I see one of the characters pay extra attention to an excited child, especially a special needs child.

I cry at Fantasmic when the boat goes by with all the characters.

I fill up when I see Snow White :confused3

We have a Disney Cruise planned, and I've heard files of the ship's horn playing "When you wish upon a star". Yup, makes me cry ::MinnieMo I'm sure I'll be crying when I hear it in person.

It's to the point where I have to buy CoverGirl Marathon Mascara before each trip to ensure I won't walk around with raccoon eyes. You just about need an electric sander to take that stuff off!

Now, I can't be the only one who becomes an emotional mess at Disney

What, if anything, makes you emotional during your visit??

when i get the bill LOL i couldn't help that one. i get chocked up everytime i see wishes. it just happens.

Yes. I get teared up often at WDW, too. I ALWAYS cry at Wishes!!!!! Other times I cry are just random times when I see my girls' reactions to things. However, Wishes always brings the happy tears!!!!!!!! :goodvibes

And we thought we were so original in doing this! I think it was actually our recessional though...too funny!

I always cry leaving whatever park we are at on our last night. I also usually cry in the car driving home or driving to the airport. We visit about 3 times a year - you'd think we were never coming back or something! ;)

In October, we were in line for Pooh with a Make A Wish family behind us. I couldn't help but stand there like a fool crying. And every time I thought about them later that day, I'd tear up.

Every time I see the castle for the first time on our trip and I've been tons of times. Yes Disney makes me cry a lot, but in a good way!!! I have sooooo many wonderful memories I can cry just thinking about them. The first time we walked into our villa (we had bought DVC though the mail, one of the first ten people!) I cried like a baby. I had been waiting for years (since I saw Walt talking about EPCOT way back in the day) to own a piece of the magic!!!

let me start by saying that i am generally NOT a cryer!!! when we took our son for his first trip in '04 i balled my eyes out during the lion king show! all i had to do was to look over at my son & see the expression on his face & i lost it! DH has still not let that one go...funerals, i'm a-ok, but give me that one look of sheer amazement on my sons face & i'm a basket case!
we're headed back in apr/may, i think that i'll make DH bring an :umbrella: for that show so he won't get wet!

Im very emotional. I seem to be even more so when at the happiest place on earth. DH and DD already know that nothings wrong, they're just *happy tears*

I end up in tears when I approach the Train Station in MK for the opening show and the tears just come and go each day as we see favorite happy things.

The tear thing was not bad in the past but we have survived the loss of a child and remembering how very much he enjoyed his one DIsney trip just puts me over the edge.

It will never keep me from going and having a wonderful time but there are moments of happy/sad tears each day there.

I have given up on the mascara :rotfl: and I have resorted to very large dark sunglasses for whenever the need arises.

Fantasmic does it to me. Just thinking of it sometimes can bring a tear to my eye. :earsboy:

Oh my!!! I cry as soon as I hit the entrance at MK and head down the street. The worst time for me on this last trip was at the fireworks display at both MK and Epcot. My kids make fun of me all time, but it is worth it! :earsgirl:

I should have known better than to revisit this thread!!!  Post and walk away!! POST AND WALK AWAY!!!

Reading your posts makes me feel like I'm not totally crazy!!! :rotfl: I'll have to admit that even I teared up while scanning through them.

I tend to be an emotional person to begin with, but I find myself being more that way when at Disney...

I cry during Wishes, Illuminations, parades (especially the Christmas one), the Candlelight Processional at Epcot...even the Kodak memories movie that's shown before Honey, I Shrunk the Audience. I really get sad when it's time to leave for home and the cold weather! :cold: There's probably more but I can't dwell on them or I'll start bawling all over again!

This THREAD made me cry! Seriously though, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who crys in WDW. I tear up:

Driving through the welcome signs
Entering MK
Fantasmic
Parades
Seeing kids (big & little!) with the characters
Leaving

Someone posted a link to a video of the Kiss Goodnight the other day and I watched it when I got home. DH came in the computer room to find me sitting there with tears running down my face.

I am like a freakin' blubbering fool when I am there! Last year when my son was marching around the Crystal Palace with Pooh, I lost it!

The awesome Disney Magic makes me tear up. Just reading this thread gets me going. Just can't stop thinking of the past Disney Magic our family has experienced in the past. Looking forward to the Disney Magic we will soon share again. :grouphug:

Disney truely knows how to bring out that inner child in each of us. It takes us to a time when we all are amazed and we all believe!

First I'll say that I get emotional at a lot of things in WDW but I think the only time I've actually just bawled was last Feb. during Wishes when DH and I were sitting with our DD (3 and 18 months at the time). We worked really hard to save up for our trip. The years before our trip DH went throgh thyroid cancer and surgeries to deal with that and I had a surprise pregnancy that ended in a miscarriage. WDW trip was a symbol of a "new start" for us and during Wishes it just hit me how truly blessed by God we were to have made it through our struggles and still being "allowed" to enjoy our family and each other. DH looked at me right at the beginning, smiled at me, and put his arm around me and we sat there the four of us and I just bawled...tearing up as I remember it. The Wishes music (especially the part where the little girl sings) just gets me every time and from now on Wishes will continue to have that affect on me as a reminder of no matter how things are going in the rest of the world, if we are bless enough to be at WDW, then life is good...no matter how "bad" it can be.... :goodvibes

Okay I just got teary eyed just reading the posts. And I am at work.I just love the warmth and magic of Disney. A place that my inner child can play. My Dh is ot a Disney Fanatic like I am but says he loves to go just to watch my expressions. He says I am just like a big kid. I just love the parades could sit and watch it over and over all day.

Yes, yes, and yes!
Illuminations is my favorite. I'm either tearing up or singing along, or both.

Just to mention a few I don't think have been mentioned yet:
The film montage at the end of Great Movie Ride.
The end of Spaceship Earth.
The end of the Beauty and the Beast show when they play the theme song.

Wishes...I start crying now just thinking of it

Watching my children's eyes light up and knowing they won't ever forget the magic
