Anyone Else Doing Absolutely Nothing For NYE?

I'm watching James Bond movies and drinking vodka martinis, shaken, not stirred.

Yeah, we're going to just hang out at home. Maybe have fondue for dinner, make some martinis, and play poker! =)

I have to work tomorrow morning so I'm not looking to be up or out late.

I am always in bed before 10pm.........how can I change for one night? ha
I WOULD like to stay up and see Dick Clark and see how he has recovered, but I figure ET Tonight will show clips on Monday.

We stay home, but make a night out of it...needless to say, we don't wait up until Midnight. But we do the seafood smorgusboard. We have already started w/our clam cakes and shrimp (lunch time) next we will be onto steamers and usually between 8-9 we start eating lobsters. So, it isn't an exciting evening out, but it is a wonderful evening in for DH and I. Hopefully DS will be in bed before the lobsters

I will probably be in bed by 10! I work at a hospital and have to be at work at 7 am tomorrow so I need my beauty sleep LOL.

We'll be staying home, like we do every year. We stopped going out years ago. Too many nutty drunks on the road. We don't mind staying home at all.

I'm home tonight with 2 sick kids, but we didn't have plans this year anyway.

Some years we've gone to parties with friends, most kids included, family things.

Tonight DH is grilling steaks (and it's COLD outside)

We have snacks and the girls wanted to decorate. What we do some years when we stay home is show the home videos from the past year - watch their birthdays, vacations, etc. It's the one night I don't mind them staying up until midnight.

The two older kids are at friends parties - DS16 is with a friend and his family, DD 20 is with her college friends - she's the one I most worried about, out with all the crazy drivers tonight. But she is in college and we did the same thing at that age.

Only plans are to stay home and snuggle with DH. Not a NYE person here either. Now if the dog will stop howling at the firecrackers that people are already setting off. She's driving me crazy.
DD#1 is woking to closing at Chili's (she does take out). DD#2 is doing something with DF. They are adults and do their own thing.

I was supposed to be in Vegas but hubby has to work tomorrow. So we won't be doing anything I guess.

Just staying home with my kids and playing board game "Clue" and watching Litte House on the Prairie.

Not in the mood to go out.

I'm home alone tonight. My daughter is spending the night with a friend, my son is off to a party and then spending the night at a friend's house, and my husband is hunting. This won't be the first NYE alone and it won't be the last.

We never have done anything other then stay home, watch TV or movies for NYE. If not for kids I would likely go to be well before midnight. Its just another day/night to me.

With the new baby, I just don't have the energy to go out! We are all staying home, watching Harry Potter and eating Chinese Food!

In my house we each pick a special food treat to have that night. Something we might not buy or make too often. I really like spending NYE w/ my son and going out wouldn't include him. DH did just inform me alittle while ago that his mom and step-brother are coming over around 9pm ish for snacks and trivial pursuit. I guess thats as exciting as we get. Actually, it sounds perfect to me (well it WOULD be better w/o MIL but I'll it's only for a few hours) .

Well I'm spending New Years Eve home alone and I'm ecstatic. I rarely have time alone. I work a more than full time job where everyone hounds be all day long (don't take me wrong, love the job), I am a single parent to a teenager, and I have an aging mom who has been sick recently and required a lot of my attention. I don't have to do anything I don't want to do tonight and I can actually hear myself think!

My son is working tonight and then going to his girlfriend's house for her parents NYE party. He has to spend the night because her parents and I don't want him on the roads late tonight.

Heaven, I'm in heaven.... I hope everyone has a safe and happy new year.

DH is in bed with the flu. I'm playing cards with my boys and watching the 6th season of the Simpsons. We had planned on staying home anyway - we never go out for NYE.

I'm home alone tonight and it really stinks! My dh got called to work the graveyard shift and my dd is out of town. Of course my golden, Maggie, is sleeping at my feet so I'm not completely alone. I'm thinking about running over to my parent's home for some company. Of course with my luck tonight they probably have some great party to go to and aren't home even though they haven't went to a NYE party like 30 years, lol.
