Anyone Else Doing Absolutely Nothing For NYE?

Myself, DH and and 5 yr old DS just finished playing the new Magic Kingdom game. Loved it! We usually go to a place called Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh. They have a very nice Family New Year's event geared toward children from 6-8:45(countdown until 9). My DS has a cold so we thought it best to stay at home this year. Waiting for the big game for the Steelers tomorrow.

Have a Great Disney New Year ::MickeyMo :wizard:

You know, I was going to start a thread "Welcome to the New Year's DISin' Eve Party", but you beat me to it.

Who wants to pay ridiculous bucks for a sitter, and worry about being on the roads with amateur drinkers?

We had our nice fondue, enjoying a nice glass of white wine. Around 11:30, the hors d'oervres go in the oven. Got the best of NY radio DJ's keeping us company tonight.

Maybe it's just all the stuff DH and I went through this year, don't feel like celebrating the year that's ended.

With the new baby, I just don't have the energy to go out! :teeth: We are all staying home, watching Harry Potter and eating Chinese Food! :sunny:

Happy New Year everyone! :wizard:

Jill,

I have to say, that is a GREAT picture of the girls and your new addition is adorable! Enjoy the chinese food.

For the first time in 3 years. :confused3 We usually go to an Elks Club thing, but declined this year due to DH's bad knee. :guilty: Just as well, I would rather stay home anyways! ;)

I had people offering to have me babysit tonight , but i did not feel like being out on the road driving home late..so here i am!

I am having a blast!! I just thought about turning the police scanner on. They are stopping people all over the county for DUI. I am so glad I didn't have to work tonight. The ER is gonna be a mess!!

my bf and i went out last year and this year he has to workof all places a casino its packed there and and has been since 3pm,,,so home for me too,,,my dd 8, is at my cousins nye party for kids, and my ds5, is home with me and granny,,,just taking it easy tonite and glad to be home safe,,,hope everyone has a very happy new years,,,

Zilch! This is the holiday that's bothered me this year. Thanksgiving and Christmas were easy to keep busy and ignore. New Year's Eve is NOT! Waiting for the hair to dry, and I'm off to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz land.

Yup we're in for the night as well. I had foot surgery 4 weeks ago so going anywhere in a cast and walker doesn't sound like much fun. Hubby is coming down with a cold so he's drinking hot tea in his reclining chair. We'll watch Dick Clark's return. I don't really mind being in...just want to get rid of my walker. Ugh! Happy New Year to all.

Anyone else staying home?

:wave2:

My niece (almost 3) lives with me and she and I went to Taco Bell for our "gourmet" New Years Eve dinner :p and now she's watching Cinderella. Me? I'm trying to clean up Christmas stuff (a seemingly never ending task. :faint: )

nada thing here! I have been sick since Thursday and other then catching up on a lot of zzzs today and helping to slowly take down Christmas decor I have not done much...unless dising counts?!?!?!

DH and his two buddies just left to go to our downtown area, where they are doing fireworks and concerts. I was just too tired. So I might pop in The Fellowship of the Ring and just chill...me and the kitties will ring in the new year together!

Well, my hubby, kids, and I are at his home in Baltimore so we're staying in, but we did spend the afternoon strolling DC.

I don't do the partying thing anymore and we now just like to spend time with family and ring in the new year together. We're having a movie marathon right now.

Happy 2006, everyone! :goodvibes

yea nothing here either....we went out to dinner and now i am sitting here typing away on the dis boards...6 minutes to go till the new year!!!

Nope, I am confined to this danged bed, and not doing a dang thing!

Well, here it is almost 1:00 a.m. and I am still watching the Twilight Zone. I am sure not most people's idea of excitement but I am enjoying it. :)
