Anyone else confused by the controversy on the CB?

I just don't get it. Whenever people seem to be getting upset about rude threads and mean people, etc., I NEVER know what the heck they're talking about. I'm totally out of the loop.

Anyone else NOT see any trouble?

Maybe I'm the trouble, that's why I don't see it?

Thanks for the link. I didn't even have to get past the title of that thread to see that there is going to be a debate and big differences of opinion on that one. Maybe if I get truly bored this weekend, I'll pull up a chair and watch the show! My feeling is, if you are thin-skinned, sensitive, and/or don't like conflicting opinions, STAY AWAY from that stuff, you know???

grinningghost--I am confused to. I always feel like I must be missing something juicy when I see those posts. I rarely ever see attacks and negativity. Every once it awhile it is there, sure, but it is not rampant by any means. To me, it is the odd case that it happens. And so what if it does, just move along. Why must people force their comfort zones on everyone else. It's like a bad accident on the highyway, just don't rubberneck if you don't like blood and guts.

Wow Deb. Thanks for the link. I read quite a bit of the thread and there's no doubt it was getting pretty edgy.

I'm all for a good debate, but personal attacks aren't necessary in an intelligent debate, no matter how heated it gets.

Once again, I'll go back to my clueless existence.

Most of the things that people seem to think are insulting, I generally don't. I find it a surprise when people can't appreciate honesty and bluntness and totally overreact to something that was posted.

For me, I have lurked on CB for quite awhile and have always been hesitant to post. It was not that I found any of the posts or posters offensive or insulting, cause I take it all with a grain of salt, but it was mostly because of the intense comradery of quite a few members. I thought there was a secret handshake or password to post. I was a little intimidated, but not the case anymore. I enjoy it.
