We got up at 4:30am to be at KMART for their 5am opening. Only needed a few small things there, were 2nd in line at Sports Authority and got the bike, soccer ball and weights we were looking for, then stood in line at Office MAx for the printer and scanner and a few little things that had rebates we wanted.

All in all we were very successful in our journey. How about everyone else - did everyone get what they were looking for?

Were back. Got up at 5:30

Two Game Goy Advances - different stores to get different games bundles.

And a bike for DS's birthday tomorrow at target

We left at 4:30 for the 6 am opening. We went for the Kodak Digital Camera, Turkey Fryer, DVD/VCR Combo, GBA's. Got everything but the GBA's. Plus I got lots of other stuff.:o I was back home by 7:30.

Out by 5 am.. went to Kmart.
From Kmart (thanks for the price matching tip), off to Jc Penney for the free snowglobe, then

Best Buy for DVDs (2 for 20), X box games $15.99, and a few other things.

Then on to Target.

Then on to Bath and Body Works, (using those freebie coupons!)

Then home.

Just went out to get a Compact Flash card from Staples. I don't have much other shopping to do. Although a dress I want is on sale today so I might go out and get that.

I cleaned up!

Went online yesterday and got the digital camera from Walmart, and the Gboy Advance bundle from Circuit City, so that elimiated my need to go to those two stores.

Went to KB Toys, what a nightmare that was. 200 people in that tiny store at 5am. But I got everything I went after, and saved myself over $100.

Walking out of KB Toys, I decided to cut through Hechts and got two $15 gift cards just for walking through! :)

Next on to Toys R Us for their Harry Potter trivia game, electronic keyboard, and some Barbies for my niece. Toys-R-Us was surprisingly rather empty. They had a good system there, moving people in and out very quickly.

The only thing I didn't get was the snow globe at JC Penny's. The store I went to was in the process of closing (I didn't realize it until I got there) and they weren't honoring any advertised prices. I was a little bummed over that.

Oh, and I also went to Sears and got my husband some tools he wanted.

Left the house at 3:45, was back by 9:45. A rather exhausting day, but worth it, imo.

I left work at 7:30am. Circuit City is right across the street.

I was done by 8:25.

I got Harry Potter for GBA-$19.99
NFL 2K3 for PS2-$29.99
Madden 2003 for GBA-$9.99
2 CDs for DD

That was all I wanted.

DH(at in-laws) got up at 5am.
He got GBA from Wal-mart for $48:D

I got almost everything that I wanted. I didn't get the kodak camara at WM but Tim said he would rather have a better one from Best Buy anyway so were headed there tonight. Some lady got really mad at my friend and I because we shared a cart at WM and then we priced matched. If you can have a sense of humor you need to stay home! tim was shocked that I was home this early.

Got my Mickey Snowglobe from JcPenny. :D

But didn't get the ONE thing I really wanted though, they were "out."

Ok shopping fanatics, I'm a Canadian who didn't realize that Friday was such a huge discount shopping day in US!! My friend and I are going to Buffalo on SUnday and Monday...will there still be good sales, or are they only on Friday??!! Thanks, Jo

Lets see.. my great clean up deal of the day is this:

Bionicles (usually 7-9 regular price)
Price matched at Kmart for $2.99.
Yes, $2.99, then I got a buy one get one for 50% off .

So something that was 15 (I'm thinking $7.50) became $4.50

I love Price matches at Kmart..

Beauty and the Beast Platinum Edition... $11.97, regular price $20.

And snoopy gave me a great idea, I did some online shopping at Best Buy, and got an Xbox game for my son for $15.99

KB was a nightmare here as well. The store in the mall is tiny, so they had to hand tickets to get people in. (Just to get in the store). Made me glad I price matched with Kmart.

Jo-Anne - some of the stores already have ads out in today's paper for specials on Saturday. I have seen Sears and JCPenney's so far. Maybe more ads will come out for Sunday as well.

Well, I got in line to get the Game Boy Advance at Walmart this morning. I got there at 5:30 and was about 300th in line. Unfortunately, all 200 Game Boys were gone 7 minutes after opening :( . I wasted my time for nothing. I did better at KMart though since they did match some prices for me.

Where did you find these? I was just on their website and couldn't find them.

Lets see, there were two titles that were appropriate for my kids.. Amped (snowboard) and Fuzion Frenzy (arcade type game)

I looked up via title.

And I got a Spiderman computer game for $4.99.

I got off work at 10:30am got to the mall at 11:15. BOY was it packed! No snowglobe for me, but I only spent about......80.00 and got all I needed for now.;)

Cindy, I found out that little trick several Black Fridays ago. A lot of stores will honor their black Friday prices on-line as long as you order on Thanksgiving or Black Friday. I was so pleased to see that WalMart would, since I don't have one near me (although I was prepared to drive to one if they didn't!) Some things were NOT available on-line at Walmart though - the GBA, for example, but I found the one on Circuit City that was is in a bundle, and with free shipping I found it to be a good deal.

So did anyone have any near fights today? We had a little "incident" at KB Toys where four women walked up to the FRONT OF THE LINE just as the line of 200 people were moving into the store. The one lady was saying "why should I have to wait? This is ridiculous!" Well, you never saw so many people ready to jump on these people and tackle them to the ground. I felt sorry for the young guy minding the line, he told them they had better get to the back of the line or else he would call the police. They cussed him out, but walked away. Amazingly, I saw them in the store at the same time I was (I was one of the first 50 let in - so they must have found a place to butt at one point). I looked at the one lady, the most vocal one, and told her she better not try butting in line at the register - someone would for sure notice her with the big garbage bag of stuff she was carrying. She looked as though she might hit me, but I slid away real quick after saying it. :teeth: I couldn't resist, I cannot understand how people can be so rude and unfair to others.

Just got back from hitting MANY stores since 8:30!! Got some pretty good deals.:D
