Just a bit longer and we should know for sure where DCL is headed in 2010!!! I am really excited about cruises in Europe and hope it's something that might work out for us as it's been DD's dream to go there and having a couple of years to pay for it will make it more feasible for my family. Alaska would be great too as it's so close for us -- we wouldn't need airfare if it's r/t out of Seattle. Can't wait!!!

Calypso, I'll be rooting for you that the Magic comes out your way. The Magic is the perfect sized ship for the Alaskan ports!

I sooooo want to go on a Disney cruise - might be able to convince DH to go for a european one :thumbsup2

What time are they doing the announcement?

I thought it was going to be 12:00 (or 12:30) EST -- so it could be happening in just a few minutes. I'm going over to the cruise board to see if anything's been posted yet.

Ok I have made my mind up which cruise I am going on ;) I better get DH dinner on the table and start being nice to him :lmao:

With those prices I think this going to go way beyond the dinner table...:rolleyes1

I want to do the East bound transAtlantic. I wonder how much the air fare from Barcelona back to the US is?

I can't do either of the transatlantic cruises because my kids will be in school. I'm interested in either the Baltic or Med. Of course I'm probably just dreaming as those rates x's 4, plus airfare are waaaaay out of my league. :sad2:

I know what you mean. I was just using the calculator. Looking at the 7 day Capitals sailing for the 3 of us in our family. I came to the conclusion that it will cost approximately $9,500 for everything. Cat 11 for 3, airfare to Europe, passports, fuel surcharges, taxes & port fees, and spending money.

Ouch!

I guess they aren't kidding when they call it a "trip of a lifetime".

Oh well...maybe I've still got Alaska to look forward to in 2011. :thumbsup2

What an amazing trip, but OUCH... my pocketbook just screamed in terror! Not to mention my Disney Visa from which I clearly heard, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!

:lmao:

As much as I would LOVE to be on the transatlantic voyages, I'll be in school for both dates. And as much as I would LOVE to travel the Baltic, I can't imagine the cost of the ship PLUS airfare. Looks like I'll be transferring my savings for 2010 towards a 2011 voyage.

The Med sounds amazing, but a tad too port intensive for me. Plus, I've been to most of those cities already.

Haven't looked at the prices yet, but I so want to go to St.Petersburg. I clicked on the link posted about the new itineraries and it comes back that the link isn't working.

Did they announce when you could start booking?

I think it is October 14th. The lowest price on the Baltic was $3500 per person. I would LOVE to do this cruise, but I figured about $8500 for my family of 3 in an inside stateroom and that doesn't include airfare. Ouch.
