OMG, I found this store about two years ago, and let me tell you, I have decorated like 80% of my house from it! It started with my living room. I went in one day and found the cutest floor length plaid curtains in earth tones of gold and wine. Then I found two big beautiful pictures to hang over my couch. Then I have been picking up lots of decorative accessories to complete it. I have picked up candle sticks, a star, pillows, and so much more. Then I started on stuff for my dining room. I go a few times a week as they are aways getting new stuff in. I especially love all the seasonal decor they get. Right now they have the cutest St. Patty's and Easter stuff there. I will try and post a pic of my Living room tomorrow if I get time! Anyone else love this store?

I probably know where every HomeGoods store is located in Michigan.:woohoo:

Go to homegoods.com. You can enter you zip code and they will tell you the closest one to you if there is one. They are really popular, I would bet you do have one. I got the awesome pics over my couch for like $60.00 each, let me tell you, they would have cost me twice as much if not more elsewhere. I got an awesome tall candlestick that is metal and looks like a vine for $7.99! In Target it would have cost me at least $20.00. I also got a maroon runner for my table for $7.99. You can't beat them and they have some really unusual stuff.

OP, are you talking about the HomeGoods attached to TJMaxx...well you should try to get a job there as their employee discounts are amazing. One of my friends works at one in MA and she actually works in HomeGoods (not TJ) and does all the design and layout of the displays.

Anytime I need anything from say a tea kettle to a serving platter to table linens....I tell her to keep her eye out and let me know!!! :thumbsup2

I  HomeGoods! I discovered one a few years ago in Connecticut while visiting my in-laws. I also always make sure to stop by one when we're visiting family in Texas. Unfortunately, the closest store is in Birmingham, which is about an hour and a half from where I live. I live in a pretty decent sized city, and we have two TJMaxx stores, but I'm really hoping we get a HomeGoods store soon!

I just discovered this store recently..I was in love :cloud9: All I bought that trip was a vase, but it was a beautiful vase. I told the kids to be very careful around it because it cost me $200 (I paid $11 :rotfl2:)

Can't wait to get back!

Love Homegoods and they opened one up less than 15 minutes from me. Extremely Dangerous?! :thumbsup2

I love this store! :-) I don't go often because it's dangerous. It's great for getting odds and ends kitchen items and things like that. I need to decorate our living room and that is going to be my first stop, I just need to make sure I am ready to spend a few hundred $$$!! :-)

I'd never seen a Homegoods store before moving here. Our's isn't bad at all but sometimes it's hit or miss. I do have the BEST towels from there. The guests always comment on them and even my husband commented on them. I was suprised he even noticed.

OMG It is a dangerous store. I am always drawn to this store. They have things that you cant. find anywhere else, & cheap When I need a gift it is a great place to go. Well maybe I should go there today! LOL:rotfl2:

I've never heard of this chain until a few months ago. We have a store opening up by me on the 28th. It's taking over a former Linens and Things store.

We had a combo Homegoods/TJMaxx open locally a couple years ago. Absolutey love it, as they have lots of unique gifts ideas. :thumbsup2!

Purchased a large ocean scenery picture and lots of beach decor there when we decorated our bedroom in beachy theme last year. :goodvibes

LOVE LOVE LOVE this store! It is owned by Marshalls. I love the furniture, the framed pictures, the lamps. .. *swoon*

Marshalls and TJ Maxx are stores that I've never felt comfortable in. We no longer have a TJ Maxx nearby, but we do have Marshalls. Every Marshalls I've been in (since I was a kid) is usually very messy and the home goods area looks like the products were just thrown on there instead of neatly placed. Items that are too big for certain shelves are "made-to-fit" when they are clearly not meant to be there.

And yes, customers are a big part of why the stores look messy. They pick things up and then just throw them anywhere or leave them on the floor. But the employees should be checking areas (if they are assigned areas) and cleaning up. Hopefully, HomeGoods does a better job of keeping it neat and clean where I won't mind shopping there.

I LOVE HomeGoods. We have redecorated/remodeled every room in our house and HomeGoods items are everywhere. I have one very close by which is good but another a bit farther away which is great!! My DH says I should buy stock in TJX b/c I keep HG and TJMaxx in business... ::rotfl:LOL

karenos;)

Count me in as another Homegoods lover! Try not to go too often as it can be an expensive trip! Great store!

For some reason, The HG Stores (that I've been in) don't seem to have this same problem. Maybe the aisles are wider. Maybe since home furnishings aren't an afterthought, they get the attention to display. HG set-up makes sense, not all hodge-podge like Marshall's & TJM.

That said, I'm gratefull that there isn't one real close by! I'm trying to get rid of stuff, not add to it! But they have great prices on nice stuff.
