Reviews and opinions appreciated - thanks! :)

I've eaten at Bongos in the last 2 years. I enjoyed it. If you like Cuban food it is really good. Yummy plantains. The day we went it was mostly empty (it was an off time) and so it was totally silent. We got great service too. But I can't promise you that at normal meal times!

I ate there this past Dec for the first time. I ordered their big appetizer platter. I didn't eat it all, but only because I got too full. It was really very good. It wasn't busy, I had a table next to the window, and a wonderful waiter, who didn't seem to know what to do with a solo diner. He just kept checking on me every couple of minutes, even though I assured him I was fine. I can't wait to return.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. I'd like to try it for the food and atmosphere/decor, however, I've read too many reviews about the waitstaff being so involved in each other that they barely notice you're there (which is fine as long as our food and drinks have already been ordered and brought to our table). The reviews in the past have me thinking that if you're not young, hip, skinny and beautiful, that you're basically ignored :confused3 Maybe it's just been exaggerated in the past...

I ate there about 3 years ago. Would go back in a second. Wonderful food and service.

We have visited Bongos each time in WDW.
We have eaten there twice and have enjoyed it both times.

I felt the service was good, no complaints and the food is yummy!

We will probably stop in for a drink this time around too.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Well I'm a 40+ y/o grandmother, so I'm not young, hip, skinny, or beautiful. However, I did get wonderful service there this past Dec.

Thanks for the replies, everyone, we may give it a shot this time :)

aubriee - aww, don't sell yourself short ;)

Hey, I'm beautiful and fairly young (well does 34 count?), just not hip and skinny - ha-ha!
