We are casually looking for a new-to-us SUV - I posted a week or so ago about midsize SUVs and I'm slowly widdling down my list so I don't spend the next 6 months of weekends at dealerships test driving :goodvibes

A used MDX is at the top of my list right now. I've owned an Acura in the past and would probably still have it if someone hadn't rear-ended me at 65 mph. Thanks to that car, I walked away though! My family always had Honda's and we've had great luck with them. We want a car that will easily go 200k+ and an Acura should do that for us.

Does anyone drive an MDX? I am recovering from surgery and unable to go testdrive anything yet so I haven't had a chance to drive one but like what I see so far.

What features do you have on it and would you recommend them? How many miles do you have on yours and what year is it? Any major issues?

Thanks! :goodvibes

My parents have one. I think it's a 2006, but it may be 2005 or 2007. In that timeframe, though. I 've driven it many times and ridden in it many times and honestly, it's an awesome car! Seriously, it drives so smoothly, is incredibly roomy (the 3rd row seat is actually usuable). I have a 2006 Toyota Highlander (not recalled) and I love it, but I love their car more.

Mine is old, 2002. I have had no serious issues with it since I bought it. We will be purchasing a new suv this spring and will probably go with another mdx.

I think they are beautiful on top of being well functioning.

My co-worker has one, it's in the shop a quite a bit, but they were in an accident with it once, so some of the mechanical issues could be related. Outside of that, I'm not a big Acura style fan.

We have one and love it! Its a 2003 and had no major issues with it at all. Planning on getting a new one soon as well.

We bought one new in 2004. Sold it to our best friends, who still drive it (over 100k miles). It has been great for them - NO repairs - routine maintenance only.

The good thing about Acura is, the options are pre-loaded - the MDX comes in AWD, either the base model (which is loaded), base + navigation, base + rear entertainment, or base + nav and entertainment. I really liked not having to pick and choose options. Honda's factory navigation is the best I've used.

btw, the body style changed in 2007 - unless you just "want" the new body style, I would take advantage of the $ saved by buying a low mileage "old" body style 2006 or older.
