Is is possible to have an Escape wedding, lunch or dinner at Narcoosees and then a Dessert party? Is this too much food? Is there too many time gaps? How can I make the timeline work? For ceremony locations I really like WP because it eliminates weather concerns and i really like Sunset Point and Seabreeze point. We have no guests yet, so still trying to work out details.

What time would be good for the ceremony, then Narcoosees, then DP? Any suggestions or helpful hints? How long do I need Photography?

Did you ever get a reply to this question? I was wondering the same thing.

Depending upon the number of people in your party, you may want to check what time Narcoosees opens for dinner then work backwards from that time slot.

We are planning an Escape Wedding at the WP at 12:00, allowing 4.5 hours for the ceremony, pictures afterwards, tranportation from the WP to the GF lobby for champagne toast & cake, pictures inside the GF lobby, then going to our room to change from formal to casual clothes, then treating everyone to a buffet at the 1900 Fare Park which opens at 4:30. I would like to have a DP however my family are not too much into desserts.

The short answer is YES.

DH and I had the 2:30 WP ceremony, followed by pictures and cake cutting. Narcoossee's opens for dinner (they don't serve lunch) at 5 or 5:30, can't quite remember now. They will allow you to do either the very first seating or a late night seating, nothing else for a large group. We had our ressie for 20 people and ended up with 19. They put us at 2 long tables end to end on the upper part of the restaurant - worked out great. Dinner took almost 3 hours, so be prepared for that. We left with just enough time to walk to the GF marina to get on the Grand 1 for our Wishes cruise. To be honest, with the huge meal and everyone having already eaten cake, I don't think anyone would have been up for more desserts. There would not have been time to get to EPCOT for an Illuminations party, but if you were doing one at the GF or possibly for a late showing of Fantasmic (10pm or so) you could make it.

We were worried about there being too much down time, but we had NONE - everything flowed almost perfectly. We had the DPS photographer for just the 2 hours that came with the package, so from pre ceremony thru cake cutting. We got almost 200 pictures.

Check out my TR for more info on our timeline and things.

WOW, that sounds great, can I ask you to PM me your budget, incase you dont want to share, I am working on my plans for 2011, and your plan sounds about perfect for my small party!

Did your entire party of 19 fit on the Grand 1? Was there enough space for everyone to sit and watch the fireworks comfortably? I go back and forth all the time on if the Grand 1 will work for my group ~20. Thanks!

It's actually all in my TR (link in my sig) - we spent a little under $8,000 on everything with Disney, including the dinner and the Grand 1, plus a cake upgrade and extra floral. If you do a restaurant dinner, definitely get the tables in wonderland card. It saved us a bunch on dinner that night and then we used it the rest of the week - we probably saved $400 or more with it that week, and then we used it again on 2 more trips before our AP's expired.

No, the official line is that the grand 1, for safety reasons, can only hold 18. We knew that ahead of time and only invited 16 guests, so we'd be at 18. One of my cousins asked to come at the last minute with her mom and we told her that we were maxed at 18 for the cruise otherwise it would have been ok. She said she was fine not going on that since she was coming to FLA with a friend and she'd duck out after dinner. I felt a little awkward about it, but since she knew the deal up front I didn't worry about it too much.

So we had just our 18 on the Grand 1. We all had room to sit and we were all able to be outside for Wishes. In the end it didn't seem like they were counting people and i bet we would have been ok with 19 instead of 18, but who wants to deal with that kind of potential drama on their wedding day? :rotfl:

I am trying to book Narcoossee's as I write this but wondered where you phoned to book that many people as I have got through to wdw dine but was told I needed to speak with the restaurant directly, so then I rang them but got an answering machine as they are not open yet but it says on there that there is a max of 12 people so now a little worried as I really want Narcoosse's for my wedding dinner.
I am also planning on doing as you did and going straight to the Grand 1 for a cruise - our way of saying thank you to everyone who will be coming all that way. Do you know when I can ring to book that too ?
Many thanks
Nadine

I just booked the Grand 1 for our family welcome in the beginning of March. Today Disney opened all reservations to a 180 day window, instead of 90 days, so they have been slammed today. I called for over 1/2 hour to get through! The number I called about the yacht was 407.939.8687.

Hope that helps!

Hey ladies! How much per person is the dinner or lunch at Narcoosees for a wedding meal?

Last year we paid $65ppn - this included family style apps, choice of soup or salad, choice of entree (they gave us one fish, one beef and one chicken option), and choice of dessert.

I booked directly with the restaurant, but maybe their party limit is new in the last 18 months? My planner offered to book it for me, but i'd already done it, so you could try that route if you've left a message and aren't getting any response.

Was the 65 including tax? Tip? how much would I need to add to that? I LOVE Narcoosees. :)

My daughter had an escape wedding in 2007. The ceremony was at 12 noon at the WP- then the cake and champagne reception at GF. She then had an extra hour of photography - we - the parents hosted a meet and mingle in our villa for the guests between the reception and the dinner at Narcoosees. The dinner was at 5:30. We served snacks and wine and beer and played dvds of wedding songs and pictures of the bride and groom on the tv from when they were growing up. We originally wanted to have a gathering at the GF pool bar before dinner but the pool was being refurbished. The bride and groom came back to the villa after they changed into their dinner clothes by the limo and joined us at the meet and mingle. Then we all headed out to the GF lobby where we all met up and walked over to Narcoossees for the dinner. We had 20- they set us up on the top by the bar area in two tables like the other poster said. We had a great meal- shared appys- soup/salad/three choices of entree and choice of 3 desserts. We were sooo full. We finished up at 8 just in time to go on the deck and we all watched Wishes from there. That's when my daughter and I broke down and cried. It was the perfect ending to the beautiful day!! However- it didn't end there. We brought a change of clothes and we all went to the GF changed and headed to EMH at Hollywood studios and we all rode TOWER OF TERROR. My daughter wanted to do that on her wedding nite.Crazy huh?/ You should see that photo!!!!!It really was a perfect day!!!

That was before tax and tip. We had the Tables in Wonderland card, so there was an automatic 18% gratuity added. Come to think of it, I think they do the same for large parties anyway, so plan on 18% tip. I can't remember the current tax rate in Florida but it's got to be under 10%, so figure $5ppn for tax and then $11.70 ppn for tip. This price did not include any drinks, so be sure to budget for that too. We figured $20ppn and we came in well under that. I think most people had 1 or 2 alcoholic drinks.
