Anyone cruising May 8, 2004 Western?

Meesh Yea go figure. I lived with my first wife for 2 years in college, married her and then was divorced 8 months later (Still not sure what happened there). I then found DW, lived to gether for 1 month and we have been together ever since. There is no such thing as a perfect marriage. Every one has its ups and downs especially if you are both fairly independent and my DW is. Have to allow each room to grow and make mistakes - It's part of life. She is however the "Perfect" woman for me. - Mike

KC22, that sounds like my husbands bio when the boys were younger. He also loved it, and so did I helping out with the end of season party for the kids.
It is a great way to meet other parents also, we have made a lot of friendships at the fields as well as the kids.
It is a lot of work but so rewarding.

Exactly, my best friends are now the guys I coach with, and my son's friends fathers.. amazing how that happens.

Kevin -Oh gosh fuggetabouuwwt!!! I cannot do that again. I never did the soccer coach thing cuz I was always better at watching...but I ignorantly signed Kerrin up for 2 softball teams one year..an instructional baseball league for little ones (she was 5) and the softball team I coach. What a disaster, run here run there...then I have karate 2 nights a week, practice saturdays, gymnastics, swimming...it was way too much. And come to find out my daughter is ultimately happy doing just 1 or 2 things a week.
Coaching softball is definately something I have a hard time giving up...its so fun to see the kids learn from you and they have so much fun learning...I can't get enough of it and I love playing the sport myself....

I like to keep her active and she loves her karate...is itching to become a blackbelt although she has a ways to go. Nevermind coaching all of those things it was chaos just GETTING there. I wouldn't change it for the world either...I try to enjoy every minute as best as possible.

I hope to also use up 90 rolls of film on this trip cuz I want to catch every little moment of her. It stinks to think in a coupla years they will be totally different kids. waaah I dont' even want to grow up nevermind her.

Mike- well my ex is looking for the perfect person....so he will be searching 20 years from now still. Nothing will ever make him happy in HIS words so I know in my heart it truly wasn't me. There is no perfect person...well, maybe at one time, but I guess that depends on what you believe! I think communication is key and if you have that then thats everything!

Wow, 5 days for me I can't believe it!!!

KC - Missed your post and was wondering what Meesh was talking about. I was asst coach last year T-ball and now I am co-coach this year. Soccer is not until fall and I still have the coaches application for that (Still not sure). With the T-ball games and practices and swimming lessons, well that's what it is all about and I agree - I would not give it up for anything. Never Never Never. - Mike

Meesh - I hope he is a good father to that adorable Kerrin. - Mike

Mike.

Ryan is in to swimming at the Y, diving and swimming lessons, but the wife takes him after school.

Meesh - Why did you do that to me???? I just love Ice cream sundaes and banana splits. YUM YUM YUM.

BTW - You do not have to re-check your bags once you get to MCO if you check your bags with the airlines at the port. - Mike

Sheesh you get around! LOL
And I had to scroll down to see if I had asked that ? here too!
Good cuz that gives us the day to do something around the airport....
what is close to the airport I'd like to NOT rent a car if I don't absolutely HAVE to!

I wonder what it would cost to take a cab to like Wet and Wild or something. If I remember correctly (last time I stayed on Intl drive) it was like 1/2 hr. HMmmmmm...decisions decisions!

Meesh - Nothing I know of real close to the airport. What time do you fly out? If its real late, I'd bite it and rent a car and go to MK or US. - Mike

Flying out at 530 so don't really have that long to spend a day....
would have to be at the airport at what 330? Even tho luggage is checked right?

You my dear have a dilemma - Can't advise on this one. You might want to post this in the general forum and I'm sure other people will give you a bunch of ideas. If not I will keep bumping it up. LOL - Mike See you tomorrow

Well after reading the last FOUR pages of posts since i have been here I just realized that I have not even started to fill out my cruise documents!! I will have to get on that this weekend!
I did manage to get a portable nebulizer for my daughter though this week so I don't have to take the big one. My insurance company arranged for a travel one to be delivered to me the day after I called and asked them if they covered it so that was a good thing!

msh8675 <<What a disaster, run here run there...then I have karate 2 nights a week, practice saturdays, gymnastics, swimming...it was way too much. And come to find out my daughter is ultimately happy doing just 1 or 2 things a week.>>

My daughter has Karate 3 nights a week right now but once she goes up one more belt it goes to 4 nights a week. Then its swimming one night a week, Library night time story hour one night and once we are home from the cruise she wants to take some more ice skating lessons so we have a pretty busy schedual here too! She actually has Belt testing for Karate while we are on the cruise so she will get private testing once we get home.
I am really getting excited now, I have 5 more days of work until the cruise! I am rebooking for April 30th whilee I am onboard!

I have to share this! Today in the mail I got a card with $50.00 in Disney Dollars in it. It came from a group of women I came together with on the internet while we were all preganant, we were all due in Nov 99 and we have all had our "November Moms" group since we found out we were pregnant and we are all still in daily contact. They got together and sent me a gift to use on the cruise, I was shocked. They are the best bunch of people...the internet has a bad rap for "weirdo's" but there are some awesome people out there too!

What wonderful ladies and such good friends! And now you all have kids in preschool and starting kindergarten! You know you will have those "November Moms" to always go to when you need to. Sometimes, a friend outside the family and friend circle at home is always a blessing... what a nice gift!

While DS14 and DH were doing homework on the computer, DD5 and DS11 and I had so much fun gathering stuff and talkng about what to pack, when we are leaving, remember the port, remember the last cruise..... it was the so endearing! Watching them get so excited!

I have all our suitcases out - one for each - and my DD5 kept throwing in all her fav stuff animals - and I did not have the heart to tell her - they might not make the trip.... it was just too cute!

The worst thing about this trip is cutting my DD5's hair. I cut 5 inches off today! I had to! Think a brown haired - way back in the days when Nicole Kidman had the long curled hair going! There is no way I want to take 45 minutes every evening to brush out the knots! Seven bottles of No More Tears.... 45 minutes of her screaming ---- ummm NOT! So I cut it and she looks 'different' but I'll get over it ;) The staterooms next to us will be thankful!

It will make sailing much more enjoyable!

Now. If I can just sneak into my DS14's room and buzz his long hair that drives me nuts.... I'll be complete!

Meesh,

got a 5:55 pm flight.. I rented a car at Budget (Port Canaveral), shuttle bus will pick up at the dock, and it was like $57 for the day, we plan to either go to Cape Kennedy space museum or drive back to Disney and do Downtown Disney.. hope that helps..

Yes,

I finally started me pre-packing..

completed the paperwork, and updated the traveling shaving kit..

suitcases come down this weekend.

8 days..............
