Anyone care to comment on Netflights?

word of warning to people.
i've just booked on netflights (flights to singapore, not the US) to get more quidco cashback, and didnt realise til after i hit the confirm payment button, that they've added £50 on as a handling charge. that basically negates my quidco cashback :(
so beware and check everything before you hit that button!

Thank you. Fortunately I had not intention of proceeding, but did add it to checkout to see if the price would change and that's when I noticed all the additional fees.

Thanks for the warning though - it just shows how vigilant you need to be with checking each step.

Just done a search with Quidco and without Quidco for some flights, can't see any fee added, at what point is it added? never come across it before.

It seems to be at the check out. I went as far as I could just to see - not expecting any fees as they say there is a £5 booking fee for phone reservations only. I didn't notice the same fee Karentan refers to, but with each search I did, the price in the results display did not seem to include all charges as it jumped by £100 odd with the ones I looked at. I couldn't seem to work out exactly what it was that was added. At first I thought it was just prices being updated because I had been in the window too long. :confused3

Just found out what its for, they charge 2.25% for credit card payments. If you pay by debit card there if no fee.

I had exactly same problem booking direct with Virgin a couple of weeks ago.

When I booked for Feb with USairways this week I found a slightly better fare with Opodo with cashback but taking into account card fees it was cheaper direct with USairways with no cashback but no card fees(don't think US companies can legally charge a CC fee, unles their law has changed)

Ah, possible. I have no clue though - I only did dummy bookings. :confused3

As far as I know, US companies are not allowed to charge a cc fee. I can confirm that Continental did not charge and I paid the flights on a CC.
