I know some of you must have used them, or know people who have. For some reason I was unable to get the search page to load with the results this week, but got on fine just now and the same flights I was looking at on the Continental website are £100 less on here. It looks like they only release their flights a little later than CO though, judging by the dates available on the calendar so far so not sure if it is worth the gamble waiting.

(In case anyone is confused I am not able to use my actual return date yet as this is not available to book until Friday)

hi, we used netflight to book our ba flights this year, they have been great had no problems and they where cheaper than anywhere and we looked for ages lol, susie

Now here's a friend I haven't seen for ages on here! :goodvibes Aren't you leaving for Florida soon? I can never tell because you don't use tickers. ;)

Yes we've used them a couple of times, remember to go through Quidco as well. I think they are now owned by Thomas Cook, so I would be confident to use them again. :)

Yeah I was gonna say that as well, as far as I know they're owned by Thomas Cook but I'm not 100% sure.

I think Wayne got great deal last year with Business Class flights on the site, and in his report everything went really well.

They were with Expedia but I have used Netflights(Airline Network) numerous times, probably more than any other company.
I have emails for booking with them going back to 2003(probably earlier which I lost when changing PC's) Used them for about 15 car rentals, 6 flights, 3 hotels.
More than likely going to use them again for car rental in Feb, they are the cheapest I can find again with 5% Quidco.
They are part of Thomas Cook.

Thanks Wayne. As soon as flights are released for my return date I will run a comparison and see. They are the first to beat Continental's own site on any flights with all the quotes I have done so far. I played with several dates on the 2 sites tonight just for the heck of it and Netflights were consistently cheaper on the same flights so the odds are it will be no different in 24 to 30 hours time.

we had the best experience ever with netflights .due to a site error I got 3 flight to los angeles for £0 that's right £0.
It made the Steve Nolan radio show with the MD of netflights on the phone confirming that once you have a confirmation email by internet law it i a contract

I have never got anything for nothing with them but I have had at least 2 errors on their site which have been honoured.
One was Homewood suites at £22/night incl breakfast and managers reception(free food & alcohol 4 nights a week) it was clearly a mistake as it was 3 times the price everywhere else and the family checking in next to us had paid $200/night.
Other was for flights less than half the price of anywhere else in August school hol, week later we got 2 bottles of wine thru the post, apparantly I booked in a special promo period of free wine I never knew about.

I won't complain about half price flights and some wine. Heck, I will even promote their business for no fee! :rotfl:

Okay, not sure if this should even be a dilemma or not.

Netflights online is only offering Continental flights to return up to 1st October. I need the 8th so it means a week from today before I can even check and compare.

I phoned them at lunch time and over the phone you can book up until the 5th today so three more days if I do it by phone.

Continental's own website is allowing bookings to return up to the 7th, i.e. I will be able to see early tomorrow morning what the prices are and book if I see fit.

Is it worth waiting a week to see if Netflights can beat the offer or would it be more sensible, if I am happy with the price, to just go and book with Continental directly as soon as the dates are released? There is risk involved in either method, I know. :headache:

My approach has always been to book as soon as I am happy with a price which I am likely to do now. Just wondering if it is an equal gamble either way, or more sensible to wait a few days. :confused3

2 reasons I would not book, I always wait until all prices are out, often waiting months for a sale and rarely book as soon as released.
Other is I would never book on the phone, I like to enter all details myself online plus I get cashback online.
Thats just me though, if you are happy with the price and booking by phone then maybe thats the way to go.
No help at all:rotfl2:

Actually it is helpful. :)

SO easy to get caught in your own little whirlwind thought process it is always good to have another perspective.

I would also prefer to book online (thought about the cashback too - not much, but still, every little helps). The lady on the phone was very pleasant but obviously she wants the phone sale so I didn't expect her to offer any info for online bookings. Hmm, I need to speak to someone there who does NOT get commission

I'll keep an eye on the prices in the meantime. At least most of my battle is won: I know where I want to fly from for best times/connections, have my dates and know my airline. I also have a figure in mind I am happy to pay. It shouldn't be THAT hard! :lmao:

Well it's with no disregard to any advice, but comes as no surprise that when I want to do something, I just want to get on and do it.

Checked out Netflights as above this afternoon. I put the flights into my basket just to see, and the price jumps up by £150 every time you proceed to checkout. I did check it had not added insurance and other optional things by default.

Went back onto Continental which is still only allowing returns up to the day before my return date and the price has jumped £140. So..... I am going to wait up tonight and check. If the prices are good and I am happy, I am just going to book. If not, then I will chance it and wait, knowing that I might end up flying a different route/airline, in which case, so be it.

I will let you all know. ;)

Do you think the next day's flights will show at midnight our time EST, CT or PST? Just trying to figure out if I should stay up. :upsidedow

Our flights were much cheaper on continental's own site and they dropped down a bit more after a few weeks. I booked then and was happy with it. Probably not the best price £729 but I was happy with it. I would rather be booked and miss a potential sale than wait and miss I price I was happy to pay. Do what makes you happy.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Not sure I will be pinning my hopes on VA this year. Just got this back from a search, sorting results from the lowest price:

Total fare GBP 3,757.90 per adult To view the fare for all passengers click on "per adult"
8,337 miles + 4 tier point(s) earned

It's not the 1st April today is it? None of the schools are even on holiday during any of these dates!

Ah, nice to end the day with a good laugh though.

P.S. Yes, I checked: all flights are economy :scared1:

Well I am pretty happy with circa £600 each, average. Considering it is not school holidays when we go, I don't see that it should be unreasonable. Not wanting to be silly, I prefer not to wait around for the same reasons as you. If the prices are much more than I want to pay though, I will simply have to sit it out.

word of warning to people.
i've just booked on netflights (flights to singapore, not the US) to get more quidco cashback, and didnt realise til after i hit the confirm payment button, that they've added £50 on as a handling charge. that basically negates my quidco cashback :(
so beware and check everything before you hit that button!
