anyone bought TGV tickets from sncf french site?

Hi all,

Just having a look for our TGV tickets for 13th June. On the sncf french site, the price is a fair bit lower (because its euros, not sterling) compared to the sncf uk/rail europe site.

But I don't know if the French site will post to a UK address, and/or if it charges extra for this?

Does anyone know?

They wont as there is a dedicated site for the UK

The only way round it is putting your adresse as being in France and retrieving your reservation and printing them out on one of the automatic machines at CDG or picking them up at a ticket counter with your reservation reference.

Either way ou need to have with the same card on which you booked them

The one when you go in on street level ? Afaik that's information only.

I've always gone right to the back to the ticket office (it's near the car rental) and picked them up there.

Never waited long and 9 times out of 10 they don't ask for my reservation number only my name.

Sorry got distracted - Also meant to say that you can pick them up when you like right up to just before you leave.

If you look at this photo, the ticket office is the lit up room right at the back, it looks like it has flag bunting hanging up.

It's as far back as you can go on street level without hitting the back wall

I'm glad for that as I was struggling with the escalators never having taken a train from there
