Anyone booking at BWV or BCV in August 09 at the 7 month window?

Hi Everyone!!

We currently have a 2 BR reservation at SSR for the week starting August 15. We are hoping to switch to either BWV or BCV when we hit the 7 month window. Just curious if anyone has had any success with a recent booking at either of these two places at the 7 month window.

I booked BWV (boardwalk view) at the 7 month mark without a problem. A 2 bedroom for 2nd week of June 09, 6 days.

I got a 2br at BCV at the 7 month mark. 6 days later, my waitlist for a 2queen dedicated came through!!!!!!

We switched to BCV the first and second weeks in August in 2006 and 2007 at the 7 month mark (actually, I think one was closer to 6 months) and did not have any problem. We couldn't get dedicated 2Qs thought. Historically, August has not been a busy time for DVC.

We just switched this week for a full week, August 4-11. We got a 2 bedroom with two queens in the second bedroom.

I booked this afternoon for a 1 BR at BCV for August 7-12th.

I'm going to try & get a 2BR at BCV 8/17-8/23. We didn't book anything at the 11 month window because I figure even if we can't get BCV we'll get something....I hope.

We got BWV last year at the 7 months. We are planning on being at WDW about the 15th of August this year also. I was thinking BWV or BCV this year too, but my 14 year old son wants to stay at SSR!

We are hoping to get BWV standard view since the points are the same/almost the same as SSR. If BWV standard is booked, we will then try BCV and then BWV preferred view.

Will update on the 15th with what we ended up with!

i know you said Aug but I was able to get a 2bd at BCV in July 19-24th! I dropped my Kidani ressie for it!

We called first thing this morning and here is what happened.....

First we asked for BWV 2 BR Standard View (less points) - NOT available
They did say that a pool view was available. We stayed at BWV last year so thought, if we have to use more points, lets see if we can get a resort we haven't tried yet, so......

Second choice was BCV 2 BR - GOT it!!! It is actually a dedicated 2BR with a Queen and a sleeper sofa in the 2nd BR.

I am so excited!! I am looking forward to staying at BCV. We really loved BWV last year but think it will be fun trying a new one!!

Congrats on the reservation! I am calling to book tomorrow for the same week 8/16-21. This will be the 3rd year in a row that we spent an August week at BCV. We love it there, especially in the summer with the pool.

Many times the quiet pool was great for my kids--uncrowded and it has steps and shallow ends. Don't miss the movie and campfires on the beach while you're there. They have it every night in the summer.

Congrats!!! Did you waitlist for the 2 queens? I did for our ressie in July and it came through in 6 days, which I ended up giving up 6 weeks later, since we decided to do a land and sea and wanted to stay longer than the 4 nights we had in the 2 br, so we're now booked 7/18 - 7/23 in a 1 br.

I did the same thing this morning..switch our 2BR BWV to a 2BR BCV

Wish me luck guys....I am ringing tomorrow to change my BWV (1 bed standard view if anyone wants it!!!) to BCV for August 16th-19th! Fingers crossed, we have never stayed at BCV before!

Congratulations in getting BCV. I need to ring on 17th for our last 3 nights at BCV in a studio. We rented points to stay there last August and loved it even though Tropical Storm Fay was with us the whole time, we didn't even get to use SAB. Hope the weather is better this year.

I just booked a 2BR-PV at BWV this morning at my 7 month window for August 16-23. I was told there are no standard views available, which was fine because I have some banked points I need to use. I dropped my ressie @ VWL with hopes to stay at Kidani, but all the 2BR savanna views are gone for my week

Anyway, at least I have a ressie and we really love BWV

We stayed at BWV in August 06 and called to book on the day my 7mo. window was available and was able to get a standard view with no problem-I think things are changing. More people are becoming members and so far I don't see the economy having an impact on ressies.

Good Luck to all who are trying to get in the BWV and BCV. We lucked out. In 2007 I booked BWV in Feb. at the 6 month window for Aug. I got BWV preferred view. Then last year I booked 6 nights at BCV 2 bedroom with 2 queen beds for late July and got that at the 5 1/2 month mark. SO.....it can be done. I hope it all works out for you all too.
