Anyone booked lately for August?

DH is taking my daughter on a shopping trip to Atlanta on August 17. I looked at Southwest and there are some good fares to disney on August 16-19 so I was thinking ds and I would take our own weekend trip. What do you think my chances are of landing a studio anywhere that weekend? I will call in the morning. I just didn't know if anyone had booked a last minute trip lately.

I just booked a studio at SSR for August 8-12 three days ago. There were no one bedrooms available anywhere for my dates and only a few studios at SSR. The agent told me to snatch a room up quick before it was gone and I did.

You can only try. It does get less crowded toward the end of the month.

I was able to book a cash ressie 08-16 to 08-20 but not a DVC ressie with points. We got a rate of $190 in a studio @ SSR with the Aug/Sept promo. The SW fares are great!

I guess I got lucky. The only thing member services could find was a 1 bedroom at Saratoga so I jumped on it. We have been wanting to try Saratoga and are thankful to get anything at all. Originally when I booked the flight we were going to have to take a 9:30 return. This morning when I checked the 3:30 nonstop was availabe at the internet rate so I changed it and we have a few extra hours. I am so excited. I have never done a last minute trip like this. We are always having to work around school schedules but this has worked out perfectly.

Two weeks ago I booked a Labor Day weekend (8/29-9/2) at SSR. At the time, I had a choice of OKW or SSR. All I needed was a studio, so I was all set.
