We have a reservation on Monday, let me know the good or bad :confused3

Thanks.

I loved it. My favorite thing is the coffee. I didn't think it was near as expensive as I had planned on it being. The service is fabalous.

Great restaurant, but Tchoup Tchoup also owned by Emeril's at the Royal Pacific Resort in Universal Orlando gets much better reviews! The food, ambiance and service are magnificent!

For those of you who have been, do you think a somewhat adventurous eating 11 yr old (probably older by the time we make it back to Florida) child who is a HUGE Emeril fan would enjoy this restaurant? I had considered trying to take my son there on a mother/son special dinner since he loves Emeril so much. Just wondering for future reference. TIA

If he's adventurous, by all means yes! The food is just wonderful and it would be a nice and memorable experience.

Earlier this month I took my DD11 to Tchoup Chop and she is finicky but they had a kids menu and she had chicken fingers. She was nervous about manners and etiquette but the restaurant was empty and the wait staff was joking around with us and she ended up having a good time.
My wife and I ate at Emeril's and sent DD11 and DS16 to NBA City. When they finshed they sat outside of Emeril's making faces at us. I would say Tchoup Chop was a better place for kids but if he is willing to try different foods I'd take him.

3lb lobster stuffed with shrimp! I will never forget that meal at my first outing to Emeril's! I have never been to Tchoup chop but city walk Emeril's is good and both my children (last time were 9 and 13) had meals they enjoyed.

Quality and service were very good. Just the memories for your son will be worth it. Bon Apatite.

We've been to Tchoup Chop twice and love it!! I've never been to Emeril's because the menu didn't look that great to us. Tchoup Chop had great food and atmosphere. We went at lunch and it was great with the kids.

Get him the banana cream pie!

Is Emerils close to Disney? I would love to go, but we are staying at Disney and we won't have a car.

Both of the Emeril's resteraunts are at Universal property.

Going to move this over to the Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure Forums. :)

We ate at Tchoup Chop last week. Great ambiance, and we each got different, funky items and tasted everyone else's food, so we had a real adventure. My 11 YO is fairly adventurous but didn't want to commit to one dish, so he got a dumpling appetizer, stir fried veggies, and then had our food too. Worked out great - great, knowledgeable service too! Enjoy!

I enjoyed Emeril's more. I did have the banana cream pie at both though. It is very yummy.

I would still rather eat at Mythos than either Emeril's property.

I loved Emerils Orlando...its great for special occasions. It just seems special. Never been to Tchoup Chop, but I have reservations for both when I go in July...Emerils Orlando and Emerils Tchoup Chop in the same week...yum.

Been to Emeril's many times & Tchoup Chop once. We find both to be excellent food & service, with Emeril's having a culinary edge and Tchoup Chop having an atmospheric edge.

You really can't go wrong with either choice, but we prefer Emeril's thus far.
