Hello all,

We are leaving this next weekend starting sept 28th. Has anyone been there this last weekend or very very recently?

Hows the weather?

Crowds?

All together experience?

Just wondering if I spent all this money and picked an enjoyable weekend to go

Thanks!

Well,
We were there Wed, Thu, Fri this past week. Wed and Thur were amazing...we walked on to most everything, didn't do Nemo...because 70 mins was the least amount of time and we didn't want to waste it in a line...lol!

Friday was very busy, 41,000 people one CM told us. We spent Friday morning at CA and it was nearly deserted!! It was FANTASTIC!!! Then went back to DL for the afternoon/evening and saw the fireworks.....mind blowingly wonderful...I cried my little eyes out!

Weather was great, partly cloudy...warm for us (we live in BC where it's starting to cool off a bit now) until Friday night, when there was a flash flood warning, rain and a bit of lightening! But that happenend after we were safely back inside out hotel.

It was absolutely perfect for us in every way!!!

Weather is NICE... toward the end of the night, it can be a little chilly.

Crowds are pretty minimal... but for Sunday, Fantasmic was already filled up at front at like 6:30-7:00.

there are some rides closed but ride's wait time are still a lot shorter...

We were there Thurs. late afternoon, all day Friday and Saturday. I thought the park was dead the entire time we were there. Just my opinion. Nemo was posted on Fri. at 60 min. and we went for it. It took 53 min. to stand in line and ride it- I was happy with that. Sat. morning there were maybe 200 people in line at EE and I think all but 20 of us ran for Nemo. Nemo appeared to be a 30 min. wait during EE. We were dreamed twice in a matter of 20 minutes in FL. Weather was great though it did pour rain twice for just a few minutes.

PS. HM was pretty hectic on Fri. morning but we walked on with a FP a few hours later. Rode Splash like 4 times in a row, they were letting you stay in the log since noone was there.

We'll be there this coming weekend as well and I've been watching the weather forecast. Looks like the weather will be nice and sunny with the temperatures ranging from the highs in the upper 70's and the lows in the upper 50's. Chance of precipitation is only about 10%. I'm expecting Sat to be crowded and Sun reasonably crowded and hoping the crowds to taper off during the weekdays. Yup, we're all getting pretty excited! :yay:

I'm going this weekend, too! I can't wait.. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve right now, just struggling to make it through that last little bit of time. :goodvibes

The weather sounds great to me.. slightly warmer than I prefer, but it should be comfortable, especially with a mid-afternoon break back at my hotel.

I'm so excited about the Halloween decorations and I'm hoping I'll get dreamed. :cutie:

We went yesterday and were surprised at how many people were there.

It was nice, southern california early fall weather. Kind of hot in the sun, but the breeze is noticeably cooler, and it cools down a LOT at night...make sure you bring a sweatshirt...

Is Halloween up early this year? I don't recall it being so halloweeny last year or the year before...well, not sure about last year but definitely the year before...

Yeah, Halloween started a week early - typically Haunted Mansion Holiday has opened the last weekend of September or the first weekend of October, but this year it opened a week early, as did all of the Disney's HalloweenTime stuff (in its second year). I was there Saturday - it didn't seem *too* crowded, but the rain may have kept people away early in the day - I left around 2:30 and there were still a fair number of people arriving.

we were there Tuesday and Thursday last week and it wasn't really that busy. CA was dead on Tuesday (walked onto everything) and DL was busier but not bad...Thursday was a bit more crowded.

Weather was perfect...cool in the morning so when we lined up for Nemo it wasn't unbearable :) Then it got really nice in the afternoon.

We were there Saturday. We arrived around 2:00 P.M. It wasn't really crowded. I was a little disappointed though because we went to go to TSI and it was closed. POC was closed and so was BLAB. So we left after the flag retreat ceremony. We did see someone getting kicked out of the park though.

The weather is supposed to be great this weekend. Maybe we will try to go back this weekend also.

we were there Mon-Fri. We had gorgeous weather all week. NO CROWDS. Seriously. I mean, yeah, Friday was much busier than the rest of the week, but we expected that.

If you are there on the weekend, just use your fast passes! I was amazed at how many people didn't know what they were or how to use them.

The only ride we needed FP for during the week was Splash. For Space Mtn they were sending everyone up the FP line until Friday night.

Have fun!

We were there last Saturday. Spent ALL day there (9:00am to 11:30pm). Not too crowded because of the rain prediction, but it only rained for about an hour. Got dream Fastpasses so we had a great day. By the time we left we had 23 rides under our belt, 2 shows, and 1 princess costume shopping adventure.

Number of Adults.......1
Number of Girls.........4
Number of Rides.......23
Lazy Sunday.............Priceless

Wow great news that it's not too crowded right now during the week. We'll be there on Thursday and I was dreading long lines.

I'm really looking forward to it now. :yay:

Hi, we just got back yesterday from our 10 night DL vacation...we were actually in the park last monday, tues, thursday, saturday, and 2 days ago on monday....Last monday and tuesday wait times were almost nothing, seemed crowded in the park, but yet longest wait time was probably 15 minutes for the rides we did, but most were only 5-10..we did tons of rides those days, probably well over 25 each day...thursday we got dream fastpasses (:cool1: ) and we it already not crowded so we got to do so many rides( we would fast pass, then ride, then use our dream fastpass, then use our regular fastpass)...we went in saturday at dinner time knowing what the crowds would be like)YUCK...we did maybe 8-10 rides but got to see fantasmic...unfortunately the fireworks were cancelled....we went this last monday and CA was awesome and we did so many rided in the first 1 1/2 hours it was opened( i think 11 was the count) and then we went over to DL which seemed very busy for some reason...as we were leaving in the late afternoon, splash was something like 50 minutes bu luckily haunted mansion was only about 10 minutes which really surprised me....worse crowds than saturday i think...tons of fun, great weather(minus one night of unbelievably hard rain and stormy weather, some rain the following day-sat-turning to much nicer weather late afternoon)...We had so much fun and it was sad to leave

Since we had been there since Tuesday, the crowds last weekend were maddening to us. Saturday was crazy, once the rain cleared up (started just as we were asked at the opening of ToonTown where we were from, and we answered "Tacoma, WA", so I do apologize for that, LOL). And Sunday was beyond belief for us. If we didn't have to do half day there to get in the things we felt we HAD TO do, we would have been happy leaving the instant we saw how busy it was.

We were there last weekend, arriving about 1 pm on Friday, we had EE on Saturday and stayed until closing. There were two major downpours, one about 7:30 am and another just after lunch time. The rest of the day was pretty good.
Most rides were less than 10 mins, many were walk ons. The worst two were Nemo and Haunted Mansion. Nemo was so busy Friday night we waited till EE to go and even then it took almost a whole hour combining the wait and the ride. As we were exiting the Cm was standing at the end of the line motioning people into the line saying it was about one hour 15 wait. YIKES!

We did do fast passes for California Screamin. But everything else was quick.

Hey Becky :)
Another Islander!!!!!
We're in Parksville, where are you?

Friday was our last day...wonder if we crossed paths?

We were hoping it would mega downpour..because as you know...we're quite used to it, right? LOL! That would cause a major crowd clearing!

HI Linda, we are in Port Alberni...how cool is that?... On the plane ride home we sat among a large family group and they were from Victoria but the Grandma sitting next to my husband was from Qualicum. Small world eh?
