Well I would think that would be obvious ;)

Woo hooo!! We have a volunteer! Frog also said he will stop by with a stretch limo later so we don't all have to bother Amanda

I've already started on my one glass of cabernet sauvignon with my dinner.

Sorry about that Amanda. (Not sorry you are having some wine, but that somehow I volunteered you ;) ) We will stick with Mom2be and Frog. What do we all think? Time to have a livation?

Remember, the police don't convict you. They can arrest you, but it is then up to the DA to charge you and a judge or jury to convict you.

If a cop violates your rights, you have a legally provided remedy - you can file a lawsuit.

I understand that. There was a post earlier that stated that the police can remove you and charge you with DUI regardless of what your BAL is, just on their opinion that you "appeared" to be impaired at the time. I believe someone mentioned a BAL of well below the legal limit. If that is the case, and thats no clinical evidence is relevant that one was not impaired, just their opinion, then its tantamount to a conviction. Its the cop's word against the defendant.

I'm tempted to join you all with a Guiness, but I fear being called irresponsible for drinking and typing.

Well, I pointed out about a page back that I HAVE had someone close to me die in an accident. It doesn't make me feel any differently. Anymore than I would stop hunting (and I don't hunt anyhow) if someone close to me were killed by gun.

Anyhow, I responded to that comment only because I was told, and I quote, "Bite Me." Nobody has the high moral ground here. Many of us who have no problem with drinking and driving have had terrible things happen in our lives at the hands of drunk drivers. They are not related.

And frankly, I get the sense that even froggy knows she's wrong the way she's fighting back so hard. It's emotion, just misplaced emotion.

no i agree with dw on this one. one drink does not put me over the limit to drive and i will drive after one with dinner now. how ever if i h ave more than one drink i wait one hour per drink to start ddriving, yes our family is very emotional about drunk driving, and very rightly so, and since you didnt bother to read her post where she said anyone that didnt believe she had theright to be emotional could bite her i have listed you on her ignore list and my own. anyone else htat thinks that way can be added too,, just let me know...

now back to previously schedualled hi jacking in progress.

Oh, I love blue drinks! But, I have to ask - is windex an actual drink or did you somehow mistake cleaning fluid for a cocktail after having a few too many??! :earseek:
