Hi all,

I'm book the end of August with the DDP. I guess I'm getting kind of frusterated hearing about all of these offers because I'm thinking my chances are slim to none of switching over if a free DDP comes out. Anyone else in this situation? :confused3

Why do you think your chances are slim to none?

It just sounds like the plan is going to be more inclusive than past years, and that I won't be able to switch around. I'm excited, no doubt, I already have all of my ADR's and everything. But I think I would be kind of mad if when I was there I had paid for the DDP and everyone else was eating free.

I still don't follow your line of thinking here.

If you're check-in dates falls within the announced dates for the free dining promotion.. rumored to be.. 8/26 to 9/22.. and...

If you're flexible with your resort choice to some degree.. depending on availability at some resorts on certain dates....

You should have no problem convering your existing package to the free dining package... provided you call as soon as the promo is announced.

We are booked from 9/7 to 9/15 with the dining package and are excited to be going for our first family vacation. I just emailed my TA last night and said that we would like to upgrade from a moderate to deluxe if the free dining come true and that has us even more excited.

From what I understand it won't have any effect on your ADRs and they should be able to transfer your deposit to your "new reservation" if you change to the free dining plan. I'm no expert, but that is how I see it from what I have read here.

Well I think that maybe you mean exclusive? Anyway as pp have said it should not be a problem to switch over if you call as soon as the announcement is offered. Plus your ADR are linked to you phone number and won"t be affected if you make changes to your package.
As for your deposit they will most likely have to cancel your current reservation and the do anew reservation with the free dining.. the deposit you already paid would then be applied to your new reservation

Since free dining will amount to being a 'code' offer..

Couldn't they just apply the code to her existing package?
