Love the updates! I was low key hoping for another Murphy bed under the tv but knew it was very unlikely due to space. But loving the art above the Murphy bed!
Thanks for the photos. I thought all the reports were that they were leaving the carpets? Maybe that was just the studio but the 1BR and 2 BR kitchen “rooms” got the vinyl?1BR photos attached! Let me know if you have any specific questions! I’m

The 1 bedrooms already had vinyl plank in the kitchen/living room area before the refurbThanks for the photos. I thought all the reports were that they were leaving the carpets? Maybe that was just the studio but the 1BR and 2 BR kitchen “rooms” got the vinyl?
Room inventory can open because they finish the renovation early and bring the rooms back online. They were probably over conservative when estimating so they have the rooms that are reserved available especially with presidents week and spring break coming up. It would be a disaster if it took longer and they had more rooms out of service because there are no resorts to accommodate any BCV rooms that dont come back online in time. I remember in 2017 we booked Yacht Club only 3 weeks in advance for 8 days over 4th of July. We were told they overestimate the amount of time to refurbish the rooms so they have rooms for the bookings and as they finish rooms they get added to the inventory immediately. We also got a great deal ~$300 per night. We arrived here Feb 05. We had a studio booked. 2, or at most 3 days before we arrived, 5 consecutive days in a 2 bedroom showed up. Even after we booked those 5 days, other 2 beds remained available as well as other room categories. That just doesn't happen here. It was certainly a last second addition. And it wasn't just that one room. Many opened up last second.
I spy with my little eye a keurig duo tucked in the backround of one of her pictures!@whochschild Thanks for the pics and update. Are there any changes in the bathroom or kitchen area? Shower clothesline back? Wall-mounted toiletries or still the individual bottles? Keurig Duo in the kitchen? Thanks again!
Yes, Keurig/coffee pot combo in the kitchen. Toiletries are now wall-mounted. No shower clothesline. It’s our first stay at BCV so not sure what other changes there are in the kitchen/bathroom. The appliances did seem very new or at least, not worn.@whochschild Thanks for the pics and update. Are there any changes in the bathroom or kitchen area? Shower clothesline back? The appliances appear to be what they had there pre-renovation. Ours were in good condition 1 1/2 weeks ago.Yes, Keurig/coffee pot combo in the kitchen. Toiletries are now wall-mounted. No clothesline before refurb either in the 1 bedroom. We do lots of laundry and the thing that gets used every time from our Owners locker is a collapsible drying rackYes, Keurig/coffee pot combo in the kitchen. Toiletries are now wall-mounted. For us, everything goes in the dryer. The better half avoids bringing air-dry delicates as much as possible, or brings enough to last the trip (doesn't take up much suitcase space). No clothesline before refurb either in the 1 bedroom. Thanks for pictures!!!
Why not? We've only ever used the clothesline for wet bathing suits and a washer/dryer is not a replacement for just hanging a bathing suit for reuse later that day or the next.I can see the need for the clothesline in a studio, but not a 1 or 2BR…
Pays to be a dude...LOL. Having lived 20 minutes from the beach almost all of my life, and not having even seen a clothes line in over 40 years, dryers seem to do just fine drying swimsuits. Total transparency: DW does hand wash hers, but she prefers to roll them up in a towel, then dry them flat. Just asked her why, and she said she doesn't like hanging them as they can get stretched out.Why not? s great.
I mean, sure it works. That's not the issue. This is a fabric thing. Spandex and elastic can't handle the dryer, and it ages them quickly between the heat and the tumbling. It wears the fabric and can make the fit worse. The fabric is not made to be treated that harshly.Pays to be a dude...LOL. Like I said, DW hand washes hers and drys them flat. Board shorts go in the dryer.I mean, sure it works. That's not the issue. This is a fabric thing. (Some) Underwear, in contrast, actually does use elastic that is made for the dryer. You shouldn't put swimsuits in the dryer, it's on the tag of pretty much any swimsuit.
What is being refurbished at BCV?Just curious if anyone has been able to take a peak of the refurb going on at the BCV’s? I’m so curious!
