Anyone 100% done and ready for Christmas morning?

I've been done for quite some time now. I only buy for the shelter so there's nothing to wrap and the only thing to worry about is the delivery date. I'm not sure I could handle doing it all on some of the large scales I read about.

Mostly done. presents wrapped and under tree. We have an 8 year old who still believes so after bedtime there is a lot of construction that has to be done. Gymnastics bar for her and vanity for older sister. And stockings get stuffed after bed. From about 8 to midnight on Christmas Eve I will have to be a very busy elf.

I have a few odds & ends to take care, and two packages to wrap and a room to clean, and some cookies to bake BUT everything that HAS to be done is done.

What do I have left to do? I have to make a grocery store run for Christmas dinner. This year is Lasagna. I have one gift left to wrap. I do feel more relaxed this year! This is daughter-in law's first American Christmas and they both are coming over tonight until Wed. evening. It's all good!!!

I'm almost ready....

I'm waiting on a Disney gift card for DD21 - I was going to get one at the store, and then I decided I wanted a personalized one from Disney Store, so I ordered it last week. I'm hoping to get it today and if it doesn't come today, then I'll go get one from the store and then give her that. After Christmas I'll trade her gift cards - I'll give her the fun personalized one and I'll take back the other one and put it towards a dinner we'll have on our upcoming trip.

I need to set the dining room table and get everything ready for Christmas Day dinner.

Outside of those couple of things.....I'm good to go :thumbsup2

Waiting on one gift to arrive! Everything else is wrapped and that all goes under the tree today. We’re ready!

Yep, been done for a week or so. To be fair, all I decorated was the tree, mantle, dining room table and hung the wreaths on the doors. We only got presents for my grand daughter and Visa gift card for my son and his SO, which we delivered last week. Hubby and I don't exchange gifts and we don't exchange gifts with anyone else in the family any more, it just got to be too much and we are that couple who buy what we want any way so most gifts people were giving us ended up going to Goodwill. I did get hubby a little something just so there would be something under the tree and he already gave me my gift (a Mickey Mouse nutcracker for my collection). It will just be us Christmas Day, which was my request. We will probably head down to south Georgia to his family for a few days the day after Christmas.

what tradition is with the shrimp?? We do wild caught Dungeness Crab... farm raised Dungeness is just not the same
On Christmas, we usually do a late breakfast, always including something sweet, and then dinner isn't until about 6pm. We pretty much graze on apps and snacky-things through the day. We all like shrimp, and I figure it's the "healthy" option for a day filled with chips, dips, and sweets! (although we now do a charcuterie tray, also)

ETA: I'm feeling pretty good. All grocery shopping is done, and I think I have everything else I need. I found the last of DH's presents, so am relieved about that, too. I think we'll have a couple of presents that don't arrive in time, but it'll be fine. I mostly have to finish (and by "finish" I mean "start") wrapping, but I'm not worried; I have almost 2 days to get it done!

I LOVE Christmas time and am always done early, so I can enjoy the season with no stress. My beloved Grandmother who has been gone for 24 years had a "rule" that I have always followed. She always had her gifts purchased and wrapped by Dec. 10th, Christmas cards sent and all food that could be bought 2 weeks in advance was purchased. She always wanted to just enjoy the two weeks before Christmas without running around or being stressed, and I do too.

Today I am baking 3 types of cookies and making the lasagna for Christmas dinner. I have never frozen cookies and prefer to serve them/eat them fresh, so I always save the cookie baking to the end. I love doing it, so it's not a chore.

We host the family Christmas Eve party every year and it's a very active and busy party with lots of party games. I need to spend an hour today on a few finishing touches on that.

Unfortunately, my husband tore his bicep muscle Saturday morning, so we spent 6 hours at the ER. That has put a bit of a damper on our plans, but we are staying positive. He has an appt. tomorrow morning with an orthopedic surgeon. We are SO thankful that he was able to get in so soon!!

Your grandmother is my kind of woman! My rule is always done and wrapped by Dec. 15 and I always buy my food ingredients early too. I'm making lasagna right now. Only thing that messed me up this year was ordering my cards late from Shutterfly. Looks like they're coming tomorrow. Guess they'll be New Years cards....Hope your husband recovers soon.

I'm getting there! We have overnight guests this week for Christmas dinner and then more guests coming for after Christmas brunch, so I have two big meals in a row. Guest rooms and common room (coffee bar) spotless and ready. Linen tablecloths are ironed (I know, no one irons anymore!), dishware is ready, drink station table ready (for round 1 anyway) and cleaning is 99% done.

Tomorrow, I cook, prep what I can and clean the kitchen one more time. Baths get another round.

Christmas morning I'll get fresh flowers ready (chilling in the garage), desserts out of the freezer, bake dinner and set table. Whew! I am so grateful DH is good at taking direction, well sometimes. With coaching, we get it done (almost 43 years)...

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

My mom and son are coming tomorrow and spending the night and my brother, sis in law, and nephew arrive on Xmas morning. I've cooked everything for Xmas day brunch which is in the fridge and ready to reheat and I've bought all the food for tomorrow. All gifts wrapped and ready. Stocking stuffers are done but in bags by person bc Santa brings them Xmas morning :). Tomorrow morning I'll wash sheets for son and mom's beds and then prepare the charcuterie items and heat some appetizers when they show up around 1:00. Tomorrow night I'm heating up already made tamales, taquitos, and queso and we will play games and watch movies. Happy holidays everyone!
