I have been going to disney campgrounds since I was 5, I'm 25 now. I married a beautiful wife who also camped at Disney as a child as well. We are going back tomorrow to camp for the weekend. I will be sure to print our DIS marker :)

Does anybody know the soundtracks to the music around the marina/petting zoo/tavern area, or even the trading post soundtracks. I want to buy the CD or find it online.

Thanks ;)

There are, or were, at least two different loops that play at various places around the Fort. I believe also that they change over time or are updated with new songs. The different lists on places around the internet don't always keep up.

The two BGM (BackGround Music) lists Scupper listed are the orchestral ones. There is also one that is more banjo/bluegrass that plays around the Fort (I've heard it the Meadow TP mostly).

We talked about this subject recently.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3064922

I have a Wilderness Lodge BGM mp3 recording (orchestral) and a Ft Wilderness BGM mp3 recording (banjo/bluegrass) from around the 2005/2006 time frame. Each is about an hour long.

I still prefer Bela Fleck and the NewGrass tunes to give a "Fort feel" rather than the Carpenters. Loved Karen, of course, but the Fort?

1) I have the Bluegrass Loop.
2) In fact, I play most of the tunes when I stay there (I pick 5-string banjo).
3) I usually don't mention it much, because it is not widely played.
3) The banjo tracks are usually only played at the Settlement, near Pioneer Hall.

NOTE: Both FW and WL have a seasonal Christmas Loop.

did'ja notice they forgot to put Dueling Banjos on those tracks, :confused3

Scupper,

You mentioned the banjo in my April trip report when I went to the HDDR open house review and I posted pix of Professor Tommy on the Piano and Smiling Jack on the 5-string banjo.

Do you have a listing of the tracks in the bluegrass loop you could post? Even though my BGM is years old, it still might help me identify more of the tunes than the Bela Fleck ones I already have.

The bluegrass loop should be played more widely at the Fort if it's mostly now at the Settlement TP. It conveys a frontier, Davy Crockett/Musket Mickey feel.

I checked my archives and I do have the WL Christmas BGM loop but not the FW Christmas loop.

Thanks for the update.
