Is anybody interested in attending a DIS meet in Richmond Hill? We could do a picnic at Richmond Green or get a room at the library (that'll cost us). I called Richmond Green and having a picnic on a Sunday is impossible for the summer months (they're all booked up with events) but they said that if we pick a Saturday, to call them and they'll let us know whether or not there's a big event being held there or not. If there's a big event, we won't have any picnic tables but if it's a medium sized event, she'd try to get picnic tables put by the old farm house for us and because there's already an event, the buildings would be open (ie...washrooms). There's a playground nearby as well. (First come, first serve so I'd probably go early in the morning and stake our claim). If there's no event, only porta potties would be available. A room at the library (I'm not sure if it's at the main library or if they have anything at the Richmond Green branch) would be around $50 I think.
But I'm getting ahead of myself here. First things first.... Would anybody actually like to attend? If we establish an interest, then we'll pick a few possible dates and run it by either the parks department or the library.
For those who haven't been to Richmond Green (who hasn't???) there is a rose garden, marvelous scenic ponds and fountains and even a waterpark and skateboard park for the kiddies.
