I read a thread today about someone who cries at a Disney commercial and it reminded me of a Disney commercial that used to make me cry. But what the actual commercial was for I can't remember. Here's what I do remember:

The first time I saw the commercial was at the Disney store in the mall, but I'm sure in aired on regular t.v. too. It was a couple. They were having dinner at what I think was a nice restaurant. It was her b-day or something and the guy pulls out this box. But it's a shoe box and she's kinda bummed to see that because I guess she was hoping for something more romantic. Anyways she opens the box and it's a glass slipper and I think at that point he asks her to marry him.? I'm not sure.

I just remember it being really sweet and romantic, and always making me tear up. Am I crazy  or does anyone else out there remember this too?

There's actually two versions of that ad, but yes, he does ask her to marry him. It was a great commercial!

another good one is when there is a dad a boy about (5) and a girl(2) and the dad and the boy are trying to get the girl how to learn how to walk because the mom said they couldn't go to wdw until she learn's how and the boy is trying to teach her or something and she walks or something i can't remember i think it is on toy story

How about the one where at the end the little girl says, "I've been waiting my whole life to meet you!", then the camera pans to Mickey Mouse and she gives him a big hug. That one always made me cry. :sad1:

Awww. I love those WDW commercials! I haven't seen the slipper proposal before, unfortunately.

Sorry for going OT, but when I stayed in the shereton safari hotel last year there is always that one channel that shows the lady going to all theses attractions at the disney parks..the top 7 things to do or 10 things to do in disney, something like that. I know its not a commercial but I watched that so many times alst year, this year I noticed they have a different lady doing it, and no offense to her, but I liked the previous lady better. Has anyone else seen this? I am sure it shows in almost all the hotels i guess.
Well i did see a commercial yesterday on the discovery channel, advertising the 50th celebration including some video of Walt Disney.

Last year after the World Series the Red Sox commercial made me cry. They were so sincerely happy about going to WDW! :cheer2:

I don't remember what it was for exactly, but it must have been something Disney. A father is about to leave on a business trip and is saying good-bye to his son. The little boy is concerned that his father won't know anyone where he's going (I think it was Japan), so he sneaks his well-loved Pooh stuffed animal into his father's suitcase. When his father arrives at his destination, he does seem lonely until he opens his suitcase and finds Pooh. That commercial always made me cry. :goodvibes

My favorite is the one with a family the night before their Disney trip, when the kids are supposed to be in bed, and the mom goes in to remind them it's time to sleep. They squeal "can't sleep, too excited!" The mom goes back to her bedroom, where her husband is in bed. "Are you asleep yet?" "Can't sleep, too excited!"

Just reading about these commercials is making me cry! I have 38 days - can't sleep - TOO EXCITED! :Pinkbounc

Has the voice over of Kelsey Grammer! ;) I always recognize his voice.

I always like the "this is my little brother, but Mommy and Daddy call him Our Little Souvenir". That one cracks me up! I'm hoping DH and I will have our own version of that commercial after our next trip!!!

I would always tear up when I heard the jingle "It's Time To Remember The Magic" from the commercials a few years ago. I still walk around my house singing that line to anyone who will listen. :flower:

We took a family cruise on the Disney Magic in late March 2003. Our daughter's "little souvenir" Max arrived in January 2004! :goodvibes

I really like the current 50 years one with the Kelsey Grammar voice over. I love that it has old footage of Walt.

I liked the slipper proposal. That was a great one!

 Those commercials always make me tear up! DBf told me about the slipper one, but I never saw it (probably a good things, since proposals in movies and tv always make me bawl! ;) )

I LOVE the one with the "too excited" and the "little souvenir"! My other fave is the one with the doggies! :dog: One of my favorite Disney songs and little cute puppies at the end! Does anyone else remember the original dog one, where it was just the male dog at Disney world and then you found out that he was dreaming? I'm so glad that let him actually go! :flower:

My favorite one was where the mom was leaving to go shopping or something and the dad and kids were laying around saying they weren't going to do anything and then when the mom walks back into the living room the dad and kids are sitting there dressed up & singing "Circle of Life" from The Lion King....I about died laughing! :rotfl2:

I like the one where the girl has packed her car, hugged her mom and dad, (who look appropriately very sad & I'm sure they are) then she drives away to college and Dad says to Mom "Got the tickets?" and the next thing you know they are riding Dumbo! This will be me and my husband in February for our 25th wedding anniversary! We miss our daughters terribly (they are away to college) but we are looking forward to our first long vacation without kids.

Oh, i also forgot the one where the parents are talking to their grown son (who is at work in a suit and tie) who is all upset that he can't go to WDW. That would be me!

I actually worked at Disney for this. The 25th Anniversary of Disney World. I have the cd at home and whenever I hear that song I just start to get misty eyed.

I love the commercial where it is about a week before the trip and the 2 little boys are packing all of their stuff. It is so cute. Anytime I see any Disney commercial I want to pack up and go!
