ANYBODY else remember this commercial?!

My favorite one was the little girl struggling to get into her Cinderella costume while her parents waited. Once she was finally dressed, her parents asked her if she was ready. Then it showed her running into Cinderella's arms for a big hug, and the voice-over announcer said, "To a four year old girl, it’s more than magic. It’s real.". My DD was 4 turning 5 and we were planning our first trip with her when that one was running, and it got to me every time! :goodvibes

How about the one where at the end the little girl says, "I've been waiting my whole life to meet you!", then the camera pans to Mickey Mouse and she gives him a big hug. That one always made me cry. :sad1:

This one kills me. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I always like the "this is my little brother, but Mommy and Daddy call him Our Little Souvenir". That one cracks me up! I'm hoping DH and I will have our own version of that commercial after our next trip!!!

I have 2 WDW souvenirs! Look at my tag from the tag fairy ;) I love the Disney commercials!

OMG I am sitting here with tears running down my face like a great big baby. I love that!! My twin girls are 5 and this trip will be there first trip to WDW. They have been to DL a few times but doubt they remember much. I am hoping that this trip will be magical and real for them. At this age when they see Cinderella or Belle (or whoever) that IS Cinderella or Belle as far as they are concerned and as a parent that is so priceless to see. I can't wait.

Kind of off subject, but I was finishing up my scrapbook today from our recent trip and I had the tv on. All of a sudden, I hear Walt saying "For all of you who come to this happy place...." I was in a puddle of tears.

I like the one where the girl has packed her car, hugged her mom and dad, (who look appropriately very sad & I'm sure they are) then she drives away to college and Dad says to Mom "Got the tickets?" and the next thing you know they are riding Dumbo! This will be me and my husband in February for our 25th wedding anniversary! We miss our daughters terribly (they are away to college) but we are looking forward to our first long vacation without kids.
Hee Hee :goodvibes I love that commercial too! The first time DH and I saw it together we both said how that will be us someday. Right now our kids are little and going with them is fun but when they are grown and gone you can bet DH and I will still be going to Disney! :moped:

I love them all!!!! The glass slipper proposal is my all time favorite. At the time I was working at TDS and they kept showing it on our video screen. Made me tear up every time I saw it......

It isnt a commercial but what got us to take our DS2 this year (we were going to wait until he was about 5) was an ad in a magazine that I saw. It was a little guy about the same age as my DS and he had on his ears and just had this look of suprise on his face and the side of it read "Take them while the magic is still magic". That was all I needed to see to book!

Awww, I'm so happy you decided to take him! I'm a firm believer in taking them while they're young, around the 2-6 age, before they start to doubt or question everything. Have a great time. :wizard:

With all these great commercials and ads don't you think the advertising execs at Disney should get a bonus? After all they're what has convinced (some might say "suckered") most of us to go! But this is one place where I'll happily get "suckered" into going everytime again and again and again..... :earsboy:

This past summer at DL during the Parade, they'd stop the parade and play that through the loudspeaker. Wow, was that emotional!

My favorite commercial goes back quite a few years. It began with 2 couples at a card game, discussing "poor ole' boring Mom and Dad at WDW". Of course, their discussion was interspersed with scenes of all the great fun Mom and Dad were really having. Well, when Mom slid down the water slide into the pool (it looked to me like it was at WL), I loved that-looked just like me and DH!

I love the one where the couple is laying in bed and the wife asks the husband to "talk to me in that voice" and he finally does a Donald Duck!! It's so sweet.

Rereading these for about the 15th time today! The one with Walt speaking, and someone said they put that over the loudspeaker at DL is just amazing! I actually just had a chill. Imagine being there for that? I would have loved to have heard it in the place that he created!

OK, I watched the commercial and now I'm all teary eyed!! Thank you so much for that link. I absolutely loved being able to see it again. It also made me realize that we unknowingly bought DD the exact same costume on that first trip! Those commercials were the best.
Thanks! :earboy2:

Thanks for the link. I loved watching all of them. Now I'm just a puddle! :umbrella:

I just watched them too and am crying AGAIN.

I had an idea. What if there was a DVD with all these commercials on it? Maybe you could get it when you bought another video, like as a freebie or something. I don't know. Maybe it's crazy to think someone would buy a video of commercials, but I would. I love them! Then again maybe I am crazy :rotfl:

I liked one of the Grand Gatherings ones from a year or two ago...

Little girl with her parents, they tell her the whole family's going to Disney World, but that it's a secret and she can't tell anyone (until later or something??).. so she promptly goes into the next room and tells the entire family (just as Mom and Dad knew she would).. Made me giggle AND made me teary. :) Good commercial.
