Am I the only one in the world who doesn't text? I have a cell phone, that is with me all the time, yet I refuse to pay extra for texting? Seriously though, why do I need to text? If I have to talk to somebody then I call them, and if they are not available I leave a message on voice mail:confused3
For me its the added expense on my cell phone..but I really dont find a need:confused3

I don't text either so you're not the only one. :goodvibes

I teach college classes and I was telling my students not to to text me because I don't text and I had a girl say, "oh, that's so sad" and she was dead serious. It was hilarious. :rotfl:

My dh and I don't text. We don't feel the need to do so. I don't even have texting on my cell plan.

I never have either. When I signed up for my cell phone service the salesman kept trying to get me to bump up to a higher rate, saying that with the program I was going for I would only get fifty free text messages a month. I said that was fifty more than I needed.

Indeed, I don't think anyone in my family texts much.

My parents doesn't have texting on her plan, but she can do it. She sent me a text the other day lol I can't imagine how long it took her to do it. I called her right away to let her know that it cost money to send . I imagine she won't do it again.

I text and love it, but I undestand the feeling...its how I feel about tivo/dvrs. I pay enough for cable, I just cannot see paying more. yeah, it would be nice to have, but I just can't...for now. sometimes I feel like we are the only ones who don't have it, though.

I finally got my dh to get us texting on our phone plan.
I text him all the time. Just stuff during the day when we are both at work and can't chat on the phone.

DH doesn't know how to text or even send a picture from his phone. I do text but only to DD and its less that once a week.

No texting here.. Heck - I don't even have a cell phone.. LOL..:santa:

NO texting here either. By the time I find all the letters, make some sort of attempt at proper punctuation, try to figure out how to use "caps", etc, a half hour has passed & I've become cross-eyed and frustrated. No thanks.

I've told all my sisters, "If you have something to tell me, just call me".

I love texting (and I'm 42). I have a dd13, so of course we have unlimited, and it's SO much easier to get a text than to have to log into my voicemail. I also don't like talking on the phone (but I'm very social, and like having conversations in person).

My seldom used cell phone is a "text-free" zone thank you very much. :snooty:

no texts for me either...if I want to let somebody know something, I'll just pick up the phone and call them.

I feel exactly the same way! Besides, I can call and leave someone a message a lot quicker than I can type it out in a text.

I have sent ONE text in about 12 years of owning a phone.

I don't text, though I can. I don't understand the compulsion to be attached electronically to everyone. I was at WDW last week and so many people were walking around or standing in line texting. One guy was in line at Toy Story Mania watching a movie! They were missing all the small detail that helps make WDW such a magical place. The only time I've texted recently was in Laugh Floor to send in a joke to be used during the show. I know several people whose chosen method of communication is email/text. Face to face conversation is going to become a lost art.

No texting here either. :) I'd much rather call and chat.

I don't use it often. I use it the most when I go to Vegas with my friends. Much easier to send out texts to a group than to call a bunch of people, plus it's so loud there that it's easier to feel your phone vibrate in you pocket and read the message than trying to hear over the background noise.
