I guess I will add this: I would rather a person text-message than keep holding that cell phone up to their ear.
A friend of mine was an early user of cell phones (before they became common; he was with IBM at the time). As time went by he used the cell phone more and more until he became like so many people: keeping that thing glued to his head for hours a day.
When I saw him a year ago, at his stepfathers funeral, he had developed horrible looking skin cancer on the left side of his face next to his ear. He said the doctors did not know if the cell phone caused the cancer or not (he also used to tan a lot as a youth; he is now 55). Anyway, after reading about how cell phones may well be linked to cancers (skin and brain), I have become very concerned for those whom use them so frequently.
So, I guess I would rather young people text if that keeps them from jamming that device next to their head.
