Any Wii's out there??????

Here's hoping my ebay bought Wii is in the mail today. I paid more for UPS and he sent it by mail so I can't track where it is. For all I know he didn't even take it to the post office yet. I hate postal untracking.

I suspect CompUsa has sold them the last two mornings. Again today it said coming soon. I refreshed every few minutes for the last 45 minutes, and now this last time, no more than 2-3 minutes from my last refresh it went from "coming soon" to "sold out for delivery". Interesting. Frustrating but interesting.

We nabbed one of the non-bundled units ($250) at our local Shopko a couple weeks ago. Some how they happened to get 2 in and we got the last one

Tempting but that does make me a little nervous...for that price you can buy one on eBay...because right now it is listed as $499 (including $100 off)

Yes, there is a ONE per person limit. Good luck Minnesota people! It's nice you have each other to cheer on! I waited and called on my own too. My DH didn't have any time and I couldn't get anyone else to commit to waiting with me. In the end I didn't need to do too much waiting. Just being in the right place and time and a little luck is all I needed. Just a word of advice. If you get in a line, DON'T get out of it just to check out a different store. My friend did this and later kicked herself because she COULD HAVE gotten one had she stayed in line at the original store. Frustrating!!

I feel like that neighbor guy on the movie "Jingle all the way". The smug guy that has his kids' important gift safe under the tree like a parent who has it ALL TOGETHER!! Know what I mean?

I agree - I am not planning on doing it but know some people will jump on the chance to get it from a secured site vs. private party.

Ok, so I just ran to Walmart HOPING that I might stumble across a Wii...well of course I didn't, but they did have the Playstation 3 20GB so I bought that...now I am looking on eBay and they really aren't selling for that much...just over cost. Wonder if I should just return it...the hassle of shipping electronics isn't worth a couple of dollars!

I've also found PS3' while out hunting for a Wii - unfortunately I think everyone thought the Wii's would be easier to find then the PS3' but it's turning out to be the other way around.

I am thinking about just returning it...if I do that will I get a restocking fee? Obviously isn't open.

We've got our Wii! I shed some ebay related fear tears, but the package arrived and looks just fine. I checked the box and everything appeared to be there in the origional packing, but not having ever seen a Wii in the store I have to assume the Wii box is what is is supposed to be. No plastic wrap around it?

No, the boxes are NOT wrapped in plastic but they usually have that tape that once you open the box, you can tell.

I got a Wii bundle on ToysRUs.com around 1ish today - the weird thing about it is, it does NOT mention the Wii sports game - I wonder if these bundles don't come with the Wii sports or they just don't say so because all Wii's have that game in the box. Anyone know???

Paid a little more than I wanted too - had to get 5 games too - some of which DS(10) already has on other systems (PS2), also paid more for 1 day shipping as I was afraid it wouldn't get here by the end of next week.

Hope the rest of you looking for Wii's have luck this weekend.

I got confirmation from my local circuit city today that they will have them on Sunday, but he said he did not know how many. He said they would start handing out vouchers at 6, for an 8 am opening.
